Good Evening Everyone,
I feel like I lost time today, not once but twice. This morning I was doing some ingredient prep and went downstairs to dig out what I need to make Breakfast when I came back up it was 10 am, way too late to make something that needed to bake for 45 minutes.
Then this afternoon we were making meatballs as I grabbed 2 packages of Ground Beef well shopping, one for meatballs, one for meatloaves. Since we were making the meatballs anyways for the freezer we decided on Meatballs in Mushroom Gravy over Mashed Potatoes for dinner. But again we were starting on the meatballs it was like 1 pm than all of a sudden we were still working on the meatballs and it was 4 pm and not ready to start dinner yet.
I have all of the cheese grated for the week, I make sure we always have Grated Parmesan, Mozzarella & Cheddar to use during the week, I find it works best for us. If we do not use it, next weekend I will pop it in the freezer and we can use it directly from the freezer.
I made a pineapple upside down cake, thanks you pinterest, I logged on to get a recipe for something else and on my feed was a pineapple upside down cake and I got a craving. I keep a bag of frozen pineapple from Costco in my freezer and have cake mix on hand so quick and easy to whip up.
We now have tons of leftovers, we still have 6 stuffed pepper halves (I ate 3 for lunch) and now we have enough for probably 4 meals of Meatballs in Mushroom over Mashed Potatoes left. Lunches this week are covered.
Thinking tomorrow I might make Baked Apple Oatmeal for Breakfasts this week, the recipe is super easy, doesn't even take 10 minutes to get in the oven so I can whip that up on a work day.
I will need to go Costco shopping soon, we are running low on quite a few things but I do not seem to have a lot of fridge space. We do need some meat that we will need to get in the fridge before we break it down to go in the freezer. I need more Chicken and Ground Pork for sure, also need Beef Strips but may wait for those as I still have Beef Chunks so might see if I can make that work for the time being. I was hoping somewhere local would put roasts on sale but so far no luck.
Going to update my home and work to-do-lists and then I think it is bedtime for me.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekendLast edited by SassyAshley; Sun, Sep 19th, 2021 at 07:43 PM.

It could be a secret date! I know some food manufacturers use a Julian Calendar dating system of letters and numbers. I have to use Google to understand what each date means! But personal care product manufacturers usually have the Imperial system or Metric system date somewhere even if it is in tiny hard to read font that blends in with labels.

Breezy weekend is much appreciated! Took a walk tonight and it felt good to be offline. Some shoppers at Walmart but not everyone is minding the aisle markers still in grocery aisles-had skirt to a few carts being pushed the wrong way. Pleased I had reflective loops on my belt loop and watchstrap as the low sun was in the eyes of vehicle drivers and I wanted every advantage I had to avoid becoming pavement pancake while crossing the Walmart parking lot from/to the sidewalks.
Managed to watch two Norwegian short animated films on Amazon Prime Video (My Grandmother Ironed the King's shirts & Threads) but when I later chose to watch The Cat Came Back, I got a connection circle on dark screen for too long so I exited the streaming service on the tv. I intend to sample some episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as the ads seem to be hinting drama and fabulous clothing. I would like to see some really considerate friendships on the show--could be a big expectation. I don't like seeing ads for Chucky or scary Halloween shows on StackTV (my middle age is showing!) in between show segments. A big bowl of popcorn with butter was enjoyed as treat in the late morning (so delicious).
The only thing tomorrow morning that I intend to do is inquire about any later in the week spots for the Pfizer/Comirnaty vaccine. My body is telling me not to wait for the following week (pain is approaching connective tissue around stomach and I better anticipate it's not going to be easy) to book my 2nd dose.
For those of you voting tomorrow, check the start and end times for your polling stations on your elector cards. The weather forecast is for humid weather in Southern Ontario. The rain crew rolls in from Tuesday to Saturday.
BTW Monday is a good day to plant any fall bulbs or garlic cloves as there's a full moon scheduled (which is good for root growth). I will not be planting garlic, but need to get those other seeds into the ground to generate some intentional green vegetation in the garden. There's a little bit of raking left to do but it'll be easy to get done as bulk of yard work was done last week!I need to push paper into the recycling box as well. The crosscut shredder won't allow forward motion but the reverse option still works. Think Bro has had the shredder for 7 years? Maybe the Costco card could be used towards the purchase of a new shredder.

For members with air fryers, visit the Facebook contest section. Frigidaire is giving away a $100 Netflix card-you have to share what your favourite air-fried snack is.

Good Morning Everyone,
I did not want to get up this morning, I was still very tired when I woke up. But up and getting at all of the things. Lots to get done today.
Off to a good start with work, got a few things off my list already. Took a break and got a couple things done in the kitchen, we did not empty the dishwasher last night so that needed to be done and last night's dishes needed to go in. Still a few hand dishes to be done but I will get to those shortly.
My plan for today is to try to knock out the little stuff and get that off my to-do-list.
Not sure about dinner yet, I am thinking maybe Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken Piccata with a Caesar Salad. Looking for a recipe that will not have leftovers as we have a fridge full of leftovers. This recipe intrigues me as you make the whole dish in the Slow Cooker but I have put off making it as you need to sear the chicken and during the warmer days in August searing the chicken was not appealing.

Morning -not a great day went to dentist and explained my situation with my gum a problem i have had awhile and got my teeth cleaned ,he thinks may be something more so off to a specialist next week (consultation is $175 ) doubt i am covered for that .May run around $1,000 or more when i am done -they want to rule out infection .Ahhh we try to be frugal in some parts of life but in others not so .....

I had to get an implant and was given an estimate by a prosthodontist for about $6000. I gritted my teeth and went ahead with the intial appointments, because a cursory check with other specialists were about the same price.
After shelling out $3,300, I saw a billboard advertisement for a $1000 price. I canceled further treatment and tried to get it done, but CoVid hit and the practice went under before I could finish. The $2,700 was still daunting, so I found another dentist doing it for $1,500. Not as much saved, but $1,200 is nothing at which to sneeze.
The lesson being: it pays to shop around for a better price; I might have saved much more than $1,200My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I am almost finish cleaning one bathroom from top to bottom. I just need to wash the floor. Phew what a job. So happy to have that done and checked off my list. It was long overdue. Already washed the shower curtain and liner and have it hanging back up.
Recycling and garbage out to garage. Tons of laundry to do but that will be for another day.
