I harvested a Hawthorne tree for about 50lb of fruit and took some over to share with the girls at RCSS. I saw a 5.5lb chub of Montreal Smoked Meat in the FlashFood area and asked the price. They told me it was normally $84, but was going for $40. I asked them to buy it for me, if it gets discounted to $20. The gals chatted and said that I was always bringing them food samples, so they were going to just discount it to $20 on the spot. I told them that I didn't want anyone to get into trouble for it, but they insisted that they were operating within their discretionary limits. One even offered to buy it for me, but I couldn't let her do that. What a sweetie.

It came out to $3.20/lb, a respectable price.

Put a load of laundry on the line before heading to the lake for over 2 hours. Then on my way back thanks to @Ciel21 I stopped at giant Tiger to take advantage of the gift card offer. Bought 2 $50.00 ultimate dining cards and received 2 $10.00 Giant Tiger gift cards. I don’t have a giant tiger in my city so I took advantage of a few other deals like 87 cent celery. Then I picked up a big bag of dog food for free. It’s the brand my dog eats and this persons dog hated it so yay for us.
I think I need to call it a day. I am beat and have a busy day Sunday.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Spent most of the afternoon yesterday in the kitchen.

The kitchen needed to be cleaned, dishwasher emptied, reloaded and hand dishes done.

I made Stuffed Peppers last night which used up some of the older peppers, the leftover rice & an open jar of pasta sauce from the fridge. I ended up with more stuffing than I had planned so I made a lot of peppers, after having dinner there are still 9 pepper halves left. Works for me we now have lunch for the first part of the week.

    I started my ingredient prep:
Cucumbers & Broccoli have been cut up and are ready to use
    Grapes have been washed

Had some Bananas that were past their prime so they were turned into Banana Muffins.

I still have more ingredient prep to get done today and I would like to do some more baking.

Not sure what is for dinner yet, we have a few options, I am leaning towards Meatballs in Mushroom Gravy but we will see how the day goes.

    Have a great Sunday everyone

Morning! Was up early so grabbed a coffee and went to the lake to read my book.

Went to Walmart to walk around. Picked up a Barbie Spa set (Barbie and Spa set up) for $5! I think my niece will love. Adding it to her June 2022 birthday bag.
Then went to SDM. They had Rawlings Sponge rubber baseballs (fancy colours) for .19 each!! I grabbed 4 ( 2 for my friends twins and 1 each for my boys) Then thought I should buy them all for Halloween! Can't even buy a little chocolate for 20 cents! So happy to have a start on Halloween!

Cleaned out the fridge a bit and put the pasta sauce I made the other day in the freezer so that will be good for a quick meal in the next 2 weeks. Decided to make a bit of pasta and have that for dinner too Easy peasy.
Just a few more dishes to wash and then the kitchen is clean.
