Good evening. We had a good day and got a couple of walks in before the snow. We polished off the leftover chili for lunch. It was probably the best chili I've ever made. I used a few sliced fresh mushrooms, green pepper, onion fried with some garlic powder and chili flakes along with ground beef. I added 2 cans of tomatoes, 1 can of Ro-tel (chilis and tomatoes), 1 can red kidney beans, 1 pkg of Club House hot and spicy chili mix, 1 pkg of Old El Paso chili mix. We simmered for about hours on the stove. (I'm being specific for my own personal reference down the road lol). We also had Metro cheese bread on the side slathered in butter.

We had a lovely visit with our friend yesterday. An old co-worker of DHs dropped by today on their way home to TO from Montreal. We're starting to get back into a bit of a routine with drop ins. (We live fairly close to the 401 )Thankfully we had buttertarts to offer from yesterday's visit (our friend brought some).

Now we just have to wait to watch the Rookie and Yellowstone tonight (two of our fav shows right now). Have a great evening

Also a fan of Yellowstone. But so far this season is not wowing me like the 1st 3.
I am on vacation Monday and fingers crossed the weather moves on as I had planned to drive down to st. Catherine’s and Niagara Falls. But if that falls through I can start wrapping gifts.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I did nothing yesterday, I spent the day on the couch binge watching ER. Probably not my best move as I had tons to get done but it was needed.

This week is going to be insane, the week leading into Inventory always is. Waiting for all of my meetings to come together for the week.

Thinking if the weather allows I will try to get a Costco trip in this week. There are a number of things on sale I want to stock up on.

Time to see what all I can tackle this week.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

Morning! No bus service so no school for the kids today. DS is happy and on the couch in boxers watching one of his shows. He will go clean up the slush at the end of the driveway soon.

I had a massage this morning which was so needed! Grabbed a $1 coffee at Mcdonalds on the way home and now have a full coffee card

Thinking I should make a homemade mac and cheese today. Will get some work done and then get it started.

Mac and cheese is in the oven and the kitchen is clean!

So lunch will be ready in perfect time! DS just cleaned the driveway so I don't have to bug him about that anymore

Decided to put some laundry on and put away some clean stuff that was hanging to dry. Will make sure to transfer towels in washer to the dryer in a bit and then go back in and fold them.

I just made some chocolate chips cookies .My brother /wife and granddaughter and grandson are coming from london ,first they will go visit the oldest brother who has health problems ,then pop over to my house between 5.00 and 5.30 then we will all go out to swiss chalet for supper.

I have 4 tiny xmas gifts for them all i spent $15 (mug and the other 3 will get socks ) just a nice gesture. My brother from london wants to borrow the family history book from my mom's side (we have different dads) it was given to me .I will lend it to him so his grandkids in their 20's can read it.

I did the stairs and rugs downstairs and 2 loads of laundry the towels are in now.I still feel tired as i only got 6 and a half hours sleep. Some days there is no resting ,but i will go lie on the couch and watch an episode of my favourite series 'new Amsterdam"

Actually Barbis we do not have sunshine to send right now. Last night they had a vicious storm approaching a hurricane or cyclone I think-the rain has finally stopped and the ocean is brown. Lots of roads washed out, flooding, traffic lights out, mud and downed trees everywhere. We were getting emergency alerts to our phones all night-which was not very restful, Today schools and offices are closed. Hopefully tomorrow will be nicer. The last time I came to Maui there was a false incoming missile alert-maybe Maui does not want me here-but I love it.

Congrats on your find at HBC. I had no idea you could use a seniors discount code online. Very cool
