    Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday was an office day for me. The weather was not the best, it snowed/slushed all day and the roads were wet and sloppy but when I got closer to home they were dry but got stuck behind a snow plow laying down salt.

Yesterday was just one of those days, by the time I got home I was so beyond done. Nothing got done at home, I got out my laptop to work on a few things but that did not happen. I was just done.

Today is another office day, the drive in was extremely foggy, kind of felt like I needed to decompress for a few minutes when I got here but I am here and fog should clear before I head home.

Need to look at next week's flyer and see who has what on sale, just looking at the front pages I am a little disappointed with my schedule for the rest of the week. I see RCSS has butter on sale for $3.99 but I am not working anywhere close to a RCSS the rest of the week.

Thinking I might head to Costco this week, they have a few things on sale I would like to stock up on. As well hearing some of the discussions of pricing going up again and possible shortages to come. I thinking instead of a small get what we need Costco shop it will be a larger non-perishable stock up instead. This was not in my plans for this month but it just feels like the safe thing to do.

Honestly I feel like my head is spinning a little bit when it comes to groceries. It feels like everytime we find the new normal something else comes into play. I feel like so far we are still doing okay with groceries, we are within budget and don't feel like we are missing anything. But with that being said all of my years of couponing have really helped because although I no longer coupon as much (too hard to find and too time consuming at this season of my life) it has made it so we are used to only buying what is on sale and making that work.

Our meals plans are based on what we have on hand and I do not even factor in sale items unless I have them purchased and on hand because you never know if the store will have it. Where is a number of people I know write a meal plan and shopped based on there meal plan but that is when you see someone spend $4.99 on broccoli because they need it.

I get it, it is a lifestyle but I could not imagine right now just going into a store and buying what we needed and how much it would cost.

    Happy Wednesday

@sassy - Yeah that kills me too when people just decide what they want to make and then shop and just pay the price it is. Never has been my style. I could win the lottery and I would still shop smart!

Going to stop in Vegas for 1 night tonight on my way home-that should be interesting. I don't gamble but there should be interesting things to see.

sounds like my young sister who's in her 20's. Maybe cause she has a decent job and still live with our parents. I tried to show her how to shop with coupons and cashback apps but she still has not gotten into it. Maybe when she has to move out on her own or have her own family. I don't know. My hubby is the same way but not as bad; he would go to the store and picks up whatever he feels like. Needless to say, he does not do the shopping for us; I give him a list and pray that he sticks to it. I like to search for the best prices using flyers then price match and use coupons.

Have a big pot of homemade pasta sauce simmering on the stove. DS had some already with the leftover pasta from the other day.
