Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention after my shopping trips last week. I have noticed my No Frills has gone back to using 30% off stickers instead of 50% off on short dated items.

I will admit I looked at a few things that for 50% I would have picked them but only being 30% off I could get a better deal elsewhere. For example Ground Pork had a 30% off sticker but when I did the math even with the 30% off, Costco's everyday price is better.

I did not see any short dated items in RCSS so I am not sure if they are suing 30% or 50% off stickers. I might go to Zehrs this week so I shall see what stickers they are using.

I should also mention my No Frills is not on the Flash Food app and I do not see them joining. This store has become to small, they trying to renovate to make more room in the store but they have outgrown the space they are in. Honestly, my town really needs another grocery store or for No Frills to build a new store. They lifted in the building ban in our town a few years ago and put in a few subdivisions so we now have more people but no new stores or commercial building are being built. Our town is slightly notorious for not being business friendly unless you go into an existing space.

TGIF tomorrow but my week end will be cleaning mostly..so no free time.
I talked to my friend...her son got covid from elementary school and she catch it from him...he is doing good and she will deconfine tomorrow.

Stayed in today as i have had larangitis ,so drinking ginger tea 3 or 4 times a day -day 8 took a covid test today -nope negetive.I got this from my grandkids sebastian when he slept over .My immune system was down due to the stress of my brother the past week and a half and his passing i am sure .

Just trying to get better havent gotten groceries in awhile will next week using up in the house.

My last visit recently to Zehrs, they still use 50% off stickers in my area. I managed to get Lean Ground Beef with a 50% sticker and my 10% staff for $1.80/lb. RCSS uses 30% stickers, but it depends on the department manager, I know at our store, Meat almost never stickers anything cause they sell through it in time, but Bakery seems to be using them a lot more lately.

Today’s work was changed to Saturday so I had the day to myself so I went on a spring cleaning spree. I spent all day cleaning and it feels good but I’m exhausted. Tomorrow will be fun at work.

Save a couple of hundred dollars since the battery was under warranty and comped.

Off to make dinner.

I decided to go and do a little bit of grocery shopping, we did not need much but there were a few things I wanted to grab:

Food Basics:
4 x Pears $0.88/lb
4 x Oranges $0.88/lb
1 x Lemons 2-lbs $3.88 (What is up with the prices of Lemons & Limes)
1 x Orange Juice $2.88
2 x White Potatoes 10lb $1.88

Zehrs:
1 x Frozen Broccoli 1.75kg $5.88
1 x Frozen Brussel Sprouts 1.75kg $5.88
6 x Unsalted Butter $3.99
*They were sold out of Ground Beef which was my reason for going in

Wal-Mart
1 x Clementines 4lb $2
*They were supposed to be $3.77 but they were not in the best shape so marked down, I found the best box I could but did end up throwing one out when I got home
1 x Chicken Spring Rolls $3.97
1 x Chicken Dumplings $3.97
*I wanted to grab strawberries but again they were not good, so hard to find decent strawberries lately

Yes, I am obsessed with buying Butter when I find it on sale, we go through so much with baking and cooking. Disappointed with the Ground Beef. I also noticed in general produce was hit and miss, there were a few other things on my list (mangos, cantaloupe) that were not good so I skipped them. I am also still grabbing frozen when on sale just in case the sales are not the best come summer, if the sales are there the frozen will keep.

After shopping I kept the ball rolling, cleaned out the fridge, not much to go just a small container of pasta and a few roasted tomatoes. Took out the garbage and washed the hand dishes.

Dinner was the Spring Rolls & Dumplings I picked up well shopping and we had some leftover rice we turned into Fried Rice.
