I will need to find that JIF recall post as I just opened a jar of JIF.
wow @cath007 your weather is awesome. It was 12 degrees and rainy today, the sun came out about 2 and we could get outside and clear up from yesterday’s storm. We were in London helping my brother pack and it hit there as well. Thankfully my son had told us the extent of the damage because about half an hour after the storm passed a neighbour messaged me to see if it was our tree that came down, it was a massive tree in the yard south of us and it’s landed on their house. We just had the debris in our front yard and some on the roof so the older son went up and cleared the roof for us.
My SIL gave me about 8 perennials for the garden so I spent some time planting. They also gave us some food and few of the sample source FPC they won’t use and since I missed the last few rounds I was happy to have them. Less than 2 weeks until they head east. They are staying with us for their last night in Ontario and that save them a few hours of driving. We will celebrate my SIL 60th birthday and the older son has offer to cook for us.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Tonight's dinner was homemade pizza, yum, I had a craving.

Discovered the package of mushrooms I bought not that long ago were starting to turn brown. I broke down the package, cut up what we needed for dinner tonight and clean and sorted the rest. I was impressed we actually only lost 4 or 5 mushrooms and it was one of the big 680g packs.

Tomorrow I am going to saute up some Mushrooms, Onions, Pepper & Chicken with some Fajita seasoning for my lunches this week. This will use up a good portion of the mushrooms plus some of the peppers in my fridge.

I thought we were almost out of peppers and bought more not realizing I still had a full pack but it is okay as I will eat them. I love adding Mushrooms and Peppers to cooked dishes for a little extra veggies, plus lately I love adding Peppers to my salads for that little sweet pop.

Tomorrow is going to be a kitchen day, I need to get back on track with our meals. I have been super busy with work and overwhelmed and I have started skipping meals again. I do not mean to skip meals but I get focused on getting things done and before I know it, I miss meals. Most days last week I only ate 2 meals each day which isn't bad I have been known to only have 1 meal a day when things get super insane. So my plan is to get in the kitchen and have stuff ready I do not have think about, I can just grab and eat. Need to write a meal plan too.

Today I made Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for Breakfast and used the last of my berry sauce. Tomorrow I will make more Berry Sauce and that will be breakfast this week.

I started a to-do-list which will hopefully keep me on track tomorrow and I can knock all the kitchen stuff out tomorrow.

Did Sobeys require you to have the receipt in order to return the peanut butter?

    Good Morning Everyone,
    It is a slow morning.

I have a bunch of stuff I want/need to get done in the kitchen but it is a slow start kind of morning. I slept in until 7:30 which is sleeping in for me but pretty sure I needed it. I really feel like I need life to slow down a little bit right now.

Saturday was a good day but mentally, I got very in my head and got very overwhelmed. There are so many things we need to get done around the house and now there are some things that need to get done I cannot do myself and I started to feel like the $$$ are piling up. Mix that in with work as it feels like every other day someone else is leaving and as the person who can do everything and does all of the training, I am feeling like thing won't slow down anytime soon.

I am trying to take it one step at a time but at the same time it is hard because it feels like it is all piling up. It just really feels like every time I turn around there is more being added to my plate and not enough is coming off my plate.

    One step at a time.

Happy Monday Everyone, hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.

    Good morning all,

It’s been a whirlwind week….. on Sunday 15th Dh tested positive so we went into strict lockdown and quarantine for him which is difficult since we have a really small condo but we made it work. I’m so thankful that he just had congestion. I’m also thankful that I have nothing. He did his 5 days in quarantine and is out among the living. No fever, no lost smell or taste, no body aches…nothing but some congestion. I still have until Wednesday to get my 10 days of self monitoring but I’m fine, except for a sore shoulder from sleeping on the couch! and loosing a weeks worth of work and pay

Another plus is we didn’t spend much. I did a RCSS pickup order for $64 used a $20 coupon code from a previous order so since 2 items weren’t in stock ( surprise surprise ) it came to $34. My dad picked it up and left it at our front door. It was his first time doing a pickup order so maybe he will do his shopping that way.

Now we will be spending some $$$ because we are due for a Costco stock up and a regular veg and some staples stock up . Oh well, it has to be done.

Have a great remainder of the long weekend everyone.

Between yesterday and this morning I cut off all of the branches on the large rambling 35yr old creeping juniper bush that’s located on the North West side of our house. All that is left is the base and the roots of this large bush. A lot of the lower branches were dead. Dh has been driving the loads out to our landfill because it is our twice annual free landfill weekend. Our kids have been unloading the truck. Unfortunately our community does not have a compost program. Obviously the branches take up a lot more room than the creeping bell flower (weeds) that are still growing in my garden. The weather has gotten nice. I’m hoping to plant the garden next weekend. It was snowing on Friday and we had a frost advisory each night since then. My body has been handling this exercise quite well, but my hands are getting sore. I’ve been wearing my work gloves, safety glass, hat, long pants, etc to try to avoid injury.
