The good news is that DS liked the pasta salad. The bad news is there is none left to go with dinner
Will make it again next week

Our local Salvation Army had a buy 5/$5 sale on all regularly priced clothing. I took the kids shopping with me and we all tried on some stuff. We ultimately bough 15 items of clothing for $15. I even bought a pair of jeans in Dh’s size and a really nice golf style t-shirt. I also bought a popcorn maker that looked almost new. It was $8, but I ultimately decided it was worth the risk. We’ll try it out this weekend. Our old popcorn maker is wearing out. Our twins kept bringing empty hangers to the employee at the front counter, so he told them they could have the two books that they’d selected for free. It’s the first time that’s happened. Ds picked out a key finder device.

We stopped at our local second hand store for a quick look at their 50% off sale. I looked through things when I was there 2wks ago. I bought a t-shirt and a sleeveless shirt that I could wear teaching. The total was $4.25. The kids were encouraged to each pick out a candy from their container.

I saw a number of our Loblaw Banner stores are advertising the Naturally Imperfect frozen Fruits this week. If they have a blend you like these work out cheaper than buying the smaller bags.

I re-certified for my CPR C yesterday and I’m hurting from it. My left shoulder is quite sore…the same one that I accidentally pulled on Monday morning. My hands are also bruised in some areas. The instructor complimented me on doing the best in the class, but I’m paying for it today. Proper CPR on the hard dummy that’s hooked up to an app to assess our specific skills…it’s much more difficult and accurate than the typical dummies that we practiced on.

We regularly buy the Naturally Imperfect:
    Mushrooms
    Peppers
    Carrots
    Apples

The only naturally imperfect product I have not been happy with was the Zucchini, both times I bought them they started to go bad within a day or two of buying. I checked the packages, yes they had the marks or were misshaped like all Naturally Imperfect products but they went bad super fast both times. the first time, okay it was a bad package but the second time, nope, won't be buying those again.

Still looking for the best prices at the grocery store-like everyone else here. Price matching, asking for SCOP when overcharged and looking for the reduced price stickers on meat, milk ,yogurt etc. Also trying the Flash Food app at times.

DH and I are hoping to go for a little drive in the mountains tomorrow-to enjoy a picnic, the scenery and with any luck- some wildlife viewing from a safe distance.

I have not been my usual healthy, energetic self the last couple of months-long Covid I think. So cancelled all summer holiday plans and have been staying close to home. I have managed to avoid the ER/urgent care for 3.5 weeks now so that is a good sign!! I am slowly improving so really looking forward to a day out.

@cath007 thinking of your kitty and praying she’s better. I know how hard it is when our furbabies are not well .
@lizzie bargain glad you have been avoiding the ER but I’m sorry you’re having long hauler symptoms. Covid is definitely not a joke and it doesn’t look like it’s done with us yet unfortunately. Enjoy your mountain picnic and hopefully you can get some photos of the animals.
