October 2022 Frugal Chatter: All about Fall and Halloween!!!

No kids last night, but I figured most kids would go to townhouses, where there are lots of homes within a short walking distance.

Paid my house insurance, ouch! Everything is going up, however it appears hydro isn't which is a shock.

I have been surprised how low our Hydro bill has been too. Hopefully it continues.

Do you have leaf piles they can mess around in? And a brush attachment on the vacuum cleaner when the kids come back inside? If you still need to plant some bulbs, that might be something the tots might enjoy poking holes in the garden for!

Good day! Foggy morning here to start!

Made eggs and rye toast for breakfast. Kitchen is clean. Leaving for aquafit soon Then once home will shower and dress for the day.

I forgot to take the roast out again last night... today for sure. Will be perfect for a crockpot meal tomorrow.

Busy day, but good day. lots of fresh air. the kids loved it.

plan is to relax and play on twitter. one of my fav money people is doing a money thing on twiter about the recession. she is joined by another fav person. plan is to get my money geek on. lol

I've been extremely busy. I’m only going home every second weekend. Report card marks and individualized student comments are due by 9am on Monday. 5 of my courses are all starting new units within the next few days. A crazy amount of students were out sick this week and I now have bronchitis.

I haven’t even tallied up my October savings yet.

Christmas related plans have already begun. Work related Christmas parties for Dh and I are being scheduled. We both need to buy Christmas gifts for colleagues too.

Re: colleagues' gifts-so many stores have Black Friday deals (weekend or daily) on now. If there's something on HBC's website you are interested in, there's a Member Pricing event on for HBC Rewards members (points program) until Nov.9. I have noticed that some baby/kids' clothing that was priced at specific prices (regular) during Bay Days seemed to have gone up by $2 for the "new" regular price during the Member event.
