@harbie , thank you, I decided no cleaning was happening today, other than the kitchen as I work.

Cookies are baked.

I baked the Cinnamon Sticks first and made the decision to cut them in half. They are supposed the be the full length of a loaf pan but I decided to cut them in half so they we little sticks. This meant I would not need a second batch. Each person will get 4 of these plus I have extras. The thing was I ended up with some blobs of glaze that took a while to dry, it is my own fault I had them glazed and was just trying to use up the extra glaze, I should have just thrown it out.

The Lemon Slice cookies, not a fan. Mom offered to slice these for me so I could clean up the kitchen. But these ones took forever to make, even using my sheet pans that are the full size of the oven, it took 4 trays to bake them all. But you don't just bake these cookies, you bake them for 7 minutes then turn the oven off and let them sit in the warm oven for another 7 minutes so these took a long time to make. You do not want the dough to get warm so we could only slice what would fit on a tray. I think my "issue" is they were a lot more labour-intensive than I expected for a slice-and-bake cookie.

Mom packaged all of the cookies for me well I took a shower and is now putting the baskets together for me as I was making dinner.

I was going to make Instant Pot Lasagna for dinner because I wanted quick and easy but Mom wasn't feeling the Tomato so instead, I made French Onion Pasta Bake, a little bit more work but honestly, it sounds better. It is in the Oven now.

I just got my cards done ,yes i still send them 12 cards to family and friends .My daughter says this is an ancient tradition ,do you ladies or men still send them just curious?

Really hope that you get some cards in the mail too! This is one of the better ways to keep handwriting in use during the year. Most people don't understand the idea of anticipation on seeing a familiar person's written or printed address on an envelope! Or to spot new or themed stamps, especially if they come from outside of Canada!
I have done a few cards last year but am not sending any out this year, beyond the 2 HPL postcards that went to two places suggested on the library site. Incentive for postcards came this weekend when I spotted someone else's mail in our box and knew I had to drop it off at a mailbox yesterday on the way to the local library. I like sending cards out with holiday stamps (did not buy any yet either!) and hope for the same in return but our household is fortunate to get at least one card from any relation and maybe a card from a friend of mine or Brother's. I will still send letters in the mail but I've slowed down a lot this year.

Was walking home from RCSS when a truck pulled over and stopped. The driver waved me over and asked me where I was going. I told him and he insisted on driving me home, even when I told him it was not necessary. I figured it would be simpler to just agree, than argue with him. So, I accepted his kind hospitality. It was only about -20C. Nice to know that there are still fine folks like him in the world.

I am very thankfull each year since many years my godmother will visit me before Christmas to give me homemade goodies and a Christmas card!!!! It is a so nice gesture of her part,no she is not obligated to do that and I know she is very busy in this time of year with her own familly and celebration.She want me to have an happy Christmas too!!! So today and surprise visit,and I got a homemade fruits and nuts cake (omg her is so freaking good haha!!!!) ,sucre a la creme,bunch of magazine because she knows how much I enjoy that .And a beautiful Christmas card with a $50$ bill in there.That and the other $50 bill from diplom will be for purchasing Christmas food...No I dont need that money necessary but it is a nice gesture to spoil myself hahah!! And dad got a celebration lottery ticket!!!

2 offers I wanted and purchased the products did not enter (2 x 10 000 pc points),because apparently it is selected variety only grr...( Pharmaprix SDM poise buy2 get 10 000 pc points) and Maxi and cie coca cola (10 000 for 20$) on flyers offers,.... I putted inquiry..now with fill the form because apparently the button of chat is not there anymore???
With no bigs hopes,that is why I am so pissed....More and more difficult to get those offers....
EDIT after fighting with the terms of the offer I got the coca cola points ,now waiting a response for the poise....
what is the point of paying full price of these expensive poise if I cannot get the points...I would have purchased these elsewhere cheaper if I had know....I said that.

Good earlier evening everyone!!!
We had snow but it is okaie still not too much in my point of view.I admit it ,apart grocery it was a small one this afternoon because we have so much stuff to use already,I did nothing this week end,just relaxing and binge tv and movies.I am okaie with that as I need it and I will have no real 2 weeks hollidays this year because I need to finish 2 books.

I put on the small artificial optic fiber tree this year in the living room and a mini one too.It is cool and the lights are much needed since it is more dark the winter.My cats are going crazy with the tree they want to play with the branchs...hahah

I still need a few things..at the public harvest and appetizers at Maxi and cie..last minute shopping and I will be good..oh and a cake too haha
Purchased in special eggs(12 big one,iga at 2,22$ bb feb) and bacon at maxi and cie no name 500 gr ,at 4,44$ for Christmas breakest...2 breakfest at restaurant for 25$ is not an option anymore...

Picked up our grocery order. Of course they send an email 30-45 min before pick up saying they were out of 3 items. Since that dropped me belongs the minimum required to get the bonus points so I was left scrambling to get them to add something else (I wasn’t able to change it online so had to call the store directly). Got 3 other items in its place only to find out that PC Express will actually honour the points if your order drops below the threshold due to product shortages (as long as when you place the order you actually meet the minimum $$$). I know that for next time.

It’s cold ( was -7 all day and colder now for sure). It was hailing this morning before the snow came so it was super icy. Was hoping to go for a walk tonight but it’s too cold and slippery so inside cuddles it is.

I cannot sleep right now because I learned that the unclaimed 1100$ of dead brother..we wont get it probably...even we are his familly...because the system is just crazy inhuman....like the gvnt and school...dont start me on that..
that piss me and that why I am sad..no consideration we fulfilled their request info demand and it is not enought...wow..
like ..the gvnt dont need this money..us yes...

Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday did not go as planned. Thankfully Mom helped me get the baskets together.

I was not feeling my best late afternoon but I thought it was because I missed lunch. With the baking and cleaning, before I knew it, it was 2:30 and I had not had lunch. But at that point, it was too late so around 3/3:30 I started dinner.

After dinner, I started to really not feel well. By 8pm, I was done and went to bed. Not sure if I was just super tired but I slept somewhere between 10 and 11 hours last and feel fine this morning, yay!

I super scaled down on the baking I am doing for Christmas this year. I just cannot do another year where I completely stress myself out and honestly, I think it is a big reason why I dislike Christmas. I know some will think this sounds horrible but it is just another thing on my to-do list I have to get done and as much as I love baking, Christmas baking is no longer enjoyable baking, it is stressful baking.

With that being said, I made a plan for myself because I do not want to have to spend all of Friday baking and stressing out about getting everything done for Saturday. The only issue is I forgot, one of the days I planned to bake we are having dinner with Bro and his Fiancée since they will be out of town for Christmas, oops. So, I have rejigged my plan and think the new plan will work but I do need to stick to it. Worst comes to worst, I am completely okay with dropping one cookie. As I had originally planned for one plated dessert and 2 cookies but ended up with one plated dessert and 3 cookies. I have already decided which cookie I would drop if I need to.

sassy -scale down if you have to i made only 2 sets cookies ,with babysitting the girls and being so sick even yesterday i baked and felt tired after ,so then relaxed and hubby and i watched a documentary.

My dear daughter has lost her voice i told her on her weekend she should have taken a bit of downtime ,but she had to plan a whole work party over zoom had a deadline for friday ,saturday sebastain had hip hop then off to winners for last minute gifts ,then her ex had bought tickets to a dino show sunday for the 3 of them on top of working 40-50 hrs a week at home.

After 2nd covid last month my daughter said it takes awhile to recover for her from the cough ,sinus crap.I just believe we need to take a bit of me time!

My dear hubby has a sore throat now and i even havent slept in our bedroom for a few weeks now -ugggg


I need to get out and cash a 50.00 bill in at the bank as nobody will take it in retail,I just dont have my mojo back yet .

Ceil-love the metro puzzle and i love doing 1,000 piece puzzles but i never spent any more than $8.00 on a puzzle new or used -cant afford to but thanks for thinking of me.
