No grocery flyers again ( yet? ) so any dream of shopping or price matching today is gone. meh? Not that we needed a whole lot anyways. I still would appropriate getting the flyers early on Thursdays. T.G.I.F. tomorrow!
Thank-you! I read that too so good to know that it is very important!

Happy Friday!!! Woohoo! I am so looking forward to the weekend!

Keep forgetting that I booked Monday off so a 3 day weekend! Going away Sunday night so will make sure to get stuff done tomorrow around the house.

Tonight- The dog needs a bath. Pretty sure she found a mud puddle in the back yard last night.

If you notice canned veggies for .99 can you let me know where please. I remember seeing it in a flyer (maybe it was last week) and now I can't find it. Want to stock up these for someone on a limited income.

Have a wonderful and safe weekend everyone!

@Frugalbigmama , is it like corn & bean veggies or Tomatoes? No Frills has Canned Tomatoes for $0.99 this week.

The only other one I see this week is Giant Tiger has Canned Veggies but they are $1.47/Can.

Opps looks like we were all posting at the same time. Odd the canned veggies at No Frills did not come up in my search.

I took today off work just to get stuff done, there is never enough time on the weekend and this is my last weekend here until the end of October. DH did some techy stuff for a friend and she paid him in food, yummy. It was homemade fudge, tortellini soup and 8 cans of pure maple syrup. I see lots of breakfast for dinner in our future.
I am taking FIL to the legion for Friday night dinner. Usually DH does it but he is out, while we are away DS2 takes him, he likes the change of pace. Now back to my to do list.

As Hurricane Lee continues to track northwards just thinking about our members on the east coast and those in Newfoundland also as it may hit there. Stay safe @KelJo and @Newfiescreech and all others.

Thanks @GoodBoy ! I'm pretty much out of the track of Lee (fingers crossed) but have a lot of family in its path. Storm surge is the main worry

My sister in law just posted a photo of the current path of the storm, it’s coming right by my new house. Thankfully we are not there yet so nothing to worry about if we lose power and we are inland so no storm surge to worry about. It’s just everything else that the wind can do and if it’s coming past me it’s also getting my brothers place. So now we just wait. Which is likely why I woke up so early on a Saturday morning.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I worked late Thursday night because I was on a roll and honestly, lost track of time. So yesterday during my lunch I ran out to get groceries, the only "thing" was I had to go to call of the stores to make the sales work for me.

    At Freshco I got:
    1 x Sweet Potatoes 5 lbs $3.99
    2 x Mini Cucumbers $2.49 + 100 pts per pack = $2 in points
    1 x Spaghetti Squash $0.99/lb
    1 x Butternut Squash $0.99/lb
    1 x Celery $2.49 + 100 pt = $1 in points

I was not able to get Acorn Squash, they did not have any. Or Peppers, the ad showed the peppers that were on sale were Red, Orange and Yellow but all the packs in the store were green peppers. Mom cannot eat Green Peppers.

    At Food Basics, I got:
    2 x Lemons 2 lb $2.88
    2 x Clementines 2 lb $1.88
    1 x Romaine 3-pack $2.88
    2 x Gay Lea Unsalted Butter $4.98
    2 x Gay Lea Salted Butter $4.98

I have to admit I was a little jealous hearing about the produce @Frugalbigmama Food Basics. The lemons were amazing but I had to dig for the clementines, although I think the issue was one leaked all over all of them. The Romaine was not the best but I found one pack, I will try to go to RCSS later in the week for the 6-pack. I wanted Cauliflower but they were all tiny and covered in brown marks so I passed.

Lastly off to No Frills, which was WAY more than I had planned to buy but all good deals or stuff we needed:
    4 x Sugar $1.88
    4 x Diced Tomatoes $0.99
    4 x Crushed Tomatoes $0.99
    2 x Sour Cream $2.49 = 800 pts
    3 x Gay Lea Salted Butter $4.99
    1 x Trutaste Milk $4.99 (PM Zehrs)
    2 x Astro Vanilla Yogurt $2.49
    1 x Yellow Onions 10 lbs $2.77
    2 x White Potatoes 10 lbs $1.94
    1 x Apples 6lbs $6
    1 x Peppers 2.5 lbs $4
    3 x Limes 3/$0.99
    2 x Green Onions $0.99
    1 x Cauliflower $1.88 (PM Food Basics)
    1 x Acorn Squash $0.99/lb (PM Freshco)
2 x Lean Ground Beef $3.99/lb (PM Zehrs)
    1 x Rye Bread $2.49
    4 x Tortillas $1.50 WUB 2 or more
    1 x Deli Meat half Ham/Half Chicken $6

Then yesterday afternoon, I looked at my email and saw that Costco has their Chicken Breasts on for $6 off a package for the weekend only, UGH, I desperately need chicken, can I pass up this deal, nope. So after work off I went to Costco and got:
    2 x Chicken Breasts $6 off a package
    1 x Old Cheddar
    1 x Mozzarella
    1 x Parmesan Wedge
    1 x Nachos
    1 x Doritos
    1 x Chocolate Covered Almonds
    1 x Butternut Squash 2-pack
    1 x Spaghetti Squash 2-pack

This should get us through the next 2 to 3 weeks before I have to go back again. Had I known the squash was in at Costco I would not have bought locally as you cannot beat the Costco price. They are massive and the Butternut was $5.99 and the Spaghetti Squash was $4.49.

Oh my gosh, I feel like my house is busting at the seams with Groceries but we are pretty well stocked up. I was overwhelmed trying to pick something for dinner last night as we now literally have everything on hand.

Now I have to process and prep everything I bought which was not in my plans for the weekend but happy to be stocked up.

    Happy Saturday Everyone

@lilo0003 same . Keeping your brother's and your new place in my prayers! I know people always say it's just " things " that can be replaced but
the fear and anxiety these Hurricanes pose is something else.
