Worked a long day today in the humidity and I’m working until and including Saturday.

Earned $$$$ and only purchasing a can of beans for tonight’s dinner.

We made multiple containers of lasagna with our Italian friends-having some tonight and the rest went in our freezer and my Mum's. The 5 year old triplets and big brother are sleeping over tonight-lots of energy!

Cath -sorry you had to go thru comments like that ,no parent should treat their adult child like that either.


We went to the Safari Niagara zoo today got there when it opened at 9.30 and left at 3.00 -ohhh 5 and a half hours of walking in the heat -uggggg.Spent s bit on the tickets(son bought mine)we bought lunch and a toy for the kids when we left.

Son bought us an icecream cone ,$10 to feed the giraffes-ugggg but Sebastian and Cara loved it .The only downfall was the 3 trollys were full half the time so we walked and walked.

At least the park lets you take snacks in and drinks so that was a savings .

@cath007 , so sorry to hear about your health but sometimes and I know this is hard trust me I know, we have to put ourselves first and do what we need to do for us. Right now you need to make yourself the priority and I am not sure what resources you have but maybe see if there are some resources that can help you maybe even outside of the medical world.

Your father never should have said those things and sadly you do not have family support but is there someone else who can help or is in or has been in a similar situation and can give advice.

Speaking from personal experience when dealing with our health system is not the easiest, can be extremely frustrating and getting the help you need is not always easy to get especially in some circumstances. The internet is a double edge sword, not everything you read is true but it has a lot of information and if you can find reliable sources they can helpful and in some cases help more than our health care system.

Feel free to reach out anytime, I know there is a language barrier but we are all here and sometimes support can come from the most random of places.

Good Morning Everyone,
Another insane week but do we expect any less at this point but the end goal was met, I am off today and tomorrow. although I did answer a text and an email.

Monday was off to a rocky start because some of my meetings got cancelled and these were things I had to have done to take today off. Turns off someone left the company (it happens) but I went from having back to back to back to back meetings Tuesday to only having 1 meeting and then Wednesday was supposed to be back to back but only ended up with 1, but we are and I am off for 5 days.

Now why I replied to a text and an email is because some are aware my Dad had surgery yesterday, my Dad is super private and doesn't like everyone knowing. But he had his third surgery of the year yesterday, all went well, doc said it actually went better than expected and maybe just maybe he can come home tomorrow.

I had a super slow morning this morning, laid in bed didn't want to get up but I did get up just in time to jump in the car and head to grocery store and grab a few things. Originally my plan since I was off today was go to store to store to store and just enjoy grocery shopping but than I look at the flyers and really only needed things from No Frills so that is where I went. I must be in vacation mode because I did buy some extras plus I am working really hard to find options for Mom. But also I want options, I am on a mission to get back on track with eating, I say as it is 10:30 and I have not had breakfast.

But also grocery shopping was tricky because my store looks like it duid during the pandemic so many empty shelves, the employees said all of there trucks have been delayed and they don't even know if they are coming before the weekend. Not sure if I will run out later and see if I can grab a things elsewhere, we will see.
