My poor daughter last night had sebastian run into her at a friends saying he was hungry and knocked the huge mason jar of pasta sauce out of her hand ,it hit her big toe.Today she is going to the fracture clinic and will call me later. At least her ex was in town so he is going to watch Sebastian as you never know how long in our ontario hospitals .

@cath007 , I could not get on most of the day, sound like it came back up just as I went offline.

As for potatoes, I store mine in a box in a cool dark place. I know the cool part can be hard but ideally they should be in a dark place. I know you don't have a basement but I keep mine in my basement in a box.

I know they say if they are in the paper style bag they are okay but I have not found this to be true so I always put them in a box.

    Good evening Everyone,
After I posted yesterday I decided to get off my B*tt and get some stuff done.

I clean the bathroom and washed a random load of laundry out of my room. This is going to sound bad but I was cleaning up in my room and found a dress i loved last summer but completely forgot about. So I washed that a few other summer things and some winter stuff I will pack away.

I also started to sort the bin in the basement, found a few more thing I bought up on to try and decide if I want to keep and I posted 10 things online. No movement yet but it is the weekend.

Made a batch of Peanut Butter Blondies.

Today was a blah day but I did get the basics done. Cleaned out the fridge, took out the garbage, recycling and our box of boxes was full, nice to have it out of the house.

Emptied the dishwasher and the kitchen is clean,

Last night I made mozzarella chicken over pasta and tonight was Burgers with Fries and Gravy and Cesar Salad.

I did a bit of a meal plan but thinking I might break up dinner into main dishes and side. I have to be honest, it is the side that get me everytime. Last week we keep coming up with ideas but they all had rice and since we just had rice they would get nixed so hoping a list of sides will help.

I spent some time on Pinterest and for the first time in awhile found some new recipes for us to try so hoping for a good week dinner wise.

Goal for the week, stay at an okay point at work, keep getting things done around the house and don't rely on quick fixes for dinner.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

I meant to post this deal Thursday but there is still time left if you have access to Real Canadian Superstore, degree is on sale this flyer for 2.99 and there is/was a downloadable coupon on their site for 2.00 off. I was able to pick up 4 ladies deodorant. That’s like a pre pandemic price. The men’s did not work and I never had a chance to go back and now we are in Quebec so no chance to try.
I had a brutal day yesterday. The freezer was fully stocked for the kids while we are gone and it died after 24 years. It was 4pm by the time we realized we needed to replace it and thankfully my bff had room for the stuff that needed to stay frozen. We had very few options as we needed in stock and so late last night we picked up one up at HD that is considerably smaller than what we had but knowing we have less than 2 years here it works. The plus side is it can be fridge or freezer so this will go to NS to be our second fridge. It’s a necessity when you live in the middle of nowhere. This totally messed up our travel plans so we decided to do a leisurely 3 day drive instead, tonight’s hotel was 150.00 cheaper than where we expected to stay so we will actually not spend much more than expected. I am sure it will be an early bed for me.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

I had wanted to post about a new recipe I found that makes a single Cinnamon Bun in the Air fryer!
The dough was simple, just self rising flour and plain Greek yogurt. The brown sugar/butter/cinnamon filling spread inside nice.

When they cooked ( I made 3) they turned out golden brown, I cooled and iced them.
Then OMG!! I tried to eat one and nearly choked. The dough was so tough and tasted like cardboard! I tossed it out. Then I warned my guys NOT to eat theirs
but guys never listen!! My DS munched away and said they were great! bwahaha!!

Haven't been on the forum in over a month. Very busy fostering cats! I just had one give birth to 4 little tiny kittens, they are so adorable. It truly is a rewarding experience and it keeps me out of the stores and not ordering stuff online.

I have been trying the odd product out on Caddle and getting rebate money back which has been fun.

The heat and humidity has been terrible so I am getting caught up on all of my indoor chores. Sadly summer is getting to hot to enjoy and before you know it we will all be bundling up.

Have a great week everyone, and I will try to post back regularly as the miss this group of people.

I understand the body positivity movement but I like to be covered up. I am not going to lie my stomach is an insecurity so I like to cover it. Not to mention even if I did wear shorter tops I would not wear them to work. I find most of the "fanicer" are short or cropped, they either show stomach or are mention to sit right on the waistband.

I have looked at 3 different stores and am having so many issues finding tops which normally when I shop 97% of what I buy is tops because I hate buying pants and shoes. Guess this is just my sign to keep moving forward with becoming a summer dress girly.
@SassyAshley the styles this year are terrible. Every top seems to only go halfway. I will be so glad when the styles change next year. Interesting that men don't have their top lengths shorten to expose their midriff. grrrrrr

I saw one time that Eve is still capable to come down the bed by herself if she had no choice.
But ... I dont want her to brake her paws.

I really dont know if I caused her a fear or no confidence to do it by herself anymore. and to rely on my.......

But I rather bring her down than she brake theirs paws.

    That could become very serious....

I know I could purchase escalator stairs but it is not cheap .I prefer to not waste my money in that.

I know Eve would not learn and use them....
@cath007 I put a shelf on it's side and my senior cat used that to climb on and off the bed. When she couldn't climb into the litter box, I bought a large square serving tray from Dollarama and she walked into it to do her business. You could try Facebook marketplace or the local shelter may be selling used pet steps. I bought a used one for $20 for my dog - no need to buy brand new. Lots of people are selling used pet steps.

My dear older brother on london, ont ended up in the hospital yesterday he is 78 now .Keep him in your thoughts .
@coupongirl I use vinegar as a fabric softener for all my clothes. It makes them soft and you don't get the grease spots like you do with Bounce. In the dryer I use wool balls. No need for all the heavy fragrances next to our skin.

Price was decent delivery guys were pleasant. Costco was just this past fall after Canadian Appliances said they delivered to my location NS. 2 days after purchase they were like opps my bad we don’t go that far, go find a delivery company on your own. So I cancelled the order and this was a fridge stove and dishwasher, I would never consider them again because of this. So I looked to who would deliver and since I was in no rush looked to Costco. No extra for delivery and found the same fridge and stove for slightly less. I had to choose a different dishwasher because they did not have the model. Costco was easy to track my order and delivery was seamless and this slight hiccup the dishwasher not being ready did not delay the other pieces. Of course I have the executive membership so earned 2% on my purchase. The one caveat is they use a big company like midland for delivery so my experience may not be what others have but long story short to say yes to Costco and HD and no to CAS. Also Costco will take away the old appliances if needed, we did not need that as our stuff all worked so we gave them away.
edited to add Costco had a better less expensive extended warranty.
@lilo0003 thanks for posting about Costco. My appliances are from the 90's fingers crossed.
