Happy Saturday everyone. I had to double check that it was in fact Saturday as my days are blending into each other
.
Today's plan is the usual house reset but only with some light laundry( including new bedding) and vacuuming. All the other big stuff was done earlier.
I’m hoping to get to a farm market to get some more leeks for my leek and potato soup. I made some earlier this week and it was a major hit so I want use up my potatoes and that’s the meal plan.
Also planning to hit up the bank but I really don’t think that’s going to happen today.
Hope you all have a great weekend

@harbie , I had to do the same thing earlier this week, I had no idea if it was Tuesday or Wednesday, I had to check my phone and confirm it was Tuesday.
Good Morning Everyone,
Inventory Weekend although honestly, cannot complained we were done before 11 although yesterday was a long day. I went into the office around 9 but was up and working at 7 to clean up something. Then we stayed until about 7 pm last night, came home heated up the rest of my lunch for our dinner (I got a pizza which I was told was a medium more like a personal pizza, nope it was a large). Back in the office at 7am we were done before 11 but stayed and chatted with Dad, the Manager and cousin.
I must say the drive in this morning was not nice, we didn't get a lot of snow but the highway wasn't even track bare and it was blowing. Did 60 most of the way but got there.
I was going to grab some groceries on the way home but the wind just goes right through you so nope, they can wait.
Time for some lunch and maybe try to get a few things done.

Good Afternoon all. I had a very early hwy drive ( just to Kennedy ) but the road was not that clear? The lines separating the lanes were
not that easy to see. Never drove above 80 km. I had to pick up a gift item that an employee was kind enough to attach my name to and left it
at the CS desk. I got the very last one! Oh well, one of my sisters will be happy....lol.
Sadly on the way back an ambulance was back of me with the lights flashing so EVERYONE was now scrambling to pull over to the most right hand
lane possible. As soon as it passed me I left signaled, checked for an opening and got back into the left lane as I did not want to get forced off at Markham.
This IDIOT on my right decides he's gonna come over in to MY new lane! He nearly god damn hit my vehicle but I swerved over enough to the left.
He went back in his original lane but only then did I realize how fortunate I was that no vehicle was in the left lane when I veered over!
I really just wanted to get back home after that experience.
A few small errands later I did make it home. Now I'm in for the rest of Saturday!Last edited by walkonby; Sat, Dec 13th, 2025 at 02:01 PM.

Holy cow, what a day. It rose to -15C, but the windchill made it feel like -32C
Woke up with a cold, but got better as I forced myself to work-out and walk. Still coughing and sneezing, but it's manageable.
How the heck am I going to survive Actual -32C?!
Frostbite must have nipped my fingertips; they tingled in the hot shower. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Morning Everyone,
I have a million and one things I should be doing today but I think I have hit the after inventory burn-out, I have no ambition.
I don't know what I have done, maybe I slept funny but my neck and shoulders are not happy today, was hoping as I was up and moving around it would get better but now I am getting a headache too so I think it is time to take something.
There are a few things I need to get done today:
I need to clean my fridge, I do not know how it is so full when I have not done a full grocery ship in 2 weeks, all I bought last week was Milk, Mushrooms & Butter and I haven't shopped this week yet.
Garbage needs to go out, all our garbages are full at the same time, so need to get them all out.
I need to shovel the steps.
I thinking unless my head starts to feel better, that will be all for today.
I do need to figure out food for the week, last week was not out best week and although I didn't eat a lot of snack during inventory I also didn't eat well and I am feeling it today, my body feels blah.
I also need to figure out a dish for the pot luck this week.

I've been sluggish all day with no solid excuse? I did make a really large batch of Graham Cracker Toffee ( aka Crack! ) .
Filled 2 large Christmas tins up and will be taking that to DH's sister's Christmas Eve get together. I'm also bringing hot
finger Appy's. We'll be playing some fun games there!

Today was a lazy day-making some turkey soup and delivered some home baking to my friends house. I started applying online for some visas I need for my cruise next month-and that is about it!

Good Morning Everyone,
UGH, woke up thinking it 5:30 or 6 this morning but then it hit me, it is Monday and my alarm hasn't gone off, what time is it? It was 3:24, UGH, was up for about an hour, which makes getting up for work so hard.
Knocking out some of the work things, I really feel like now I need to take a breathe and reorganize and see what we need to tackle next. I am sure there are still a few inventory things we need to clear up.
I got the fridge cleaned out, took out al of the garbages yesterday.
Dinner was a Pork Tenderloin with roasted Carrots and Potatoes. Tonight, not sure yet.
I need to move the cars for them to plow and my car should be back today so I need to swap. Might go to No Frills well I am out, we will see.
I need to find my focus and just knock out a bunch of stuff.

lol!!! @SassyAshley that time on your clock ( 3:24 a.m.) ...omg, I'm very familiar with that happening, thinking it's wake up time.
Did you do anything in that hour you were up? Can be tough to fall right back asleep when that happens.
When I'm overexcited about an upcoming event it's near impossible to sleep the night before.
A perfect example is this morning the crew arrived to do the entire bathroom shower reno!!
Thankfully they came at 7:45 ( as promised ) . The noise level here is OFF THE charts!
One of the cats is oblivious to it, sleeping all curled up like he always does, while the neurotic cat
has squirrelled himself away behind the sofa. We're not speaking atm, his glaring eyes made that
very clear!
The noise is totally understandable as they first have to rip out the tub and take down the ceramic
walls. Better to pay young pros to do this backbreaking work than my aging DH attempting it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to US!! ( a very practical gift for the two of us. )

@walkonby , when I mention reading news articles this is what I am doing at this time and why I can never link them. Just laying there frustrates the you know what our of me so I end up reading on my phone until I fall back asleep.
Yes, I know they say not to look at your phone but the alternative of letting my brain wander and question all of our life decisions that thing we did 5 years ago but want to think about again is worse than using my phone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
