Yesterday I got my last client increase in effect so yay $.
Also I received the e-transfer from the OEM insurance for the deductible for the windshield. It was replaced on Monday and they received the paperwork on Tuesday and sent the $ on Wednesday.
Heading to the bank this morning to do a deposit, planning some kind of workout (weather dependent on if it’s outside or not) and then some house tidying and relaxing as I have a jam packed week coming up that starts Saturday with working then off Sunday and then back to it
To add to all this I agreed to take on another client! What was I thinking? I thought I’d be winding down at my age but it’s going the opposite way. The more I try to downsize the more offers I get
. Could be worse I guess.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone

@cath007 despite that witness being very UNHELPFUL in your father's collision case, I agree with others that you must find
a way to look past all of the financial hardship this has caused him. How sweet of you to offer your Father some of your funds
to help pay the cost from the accident. In time maybe the impact of all of this will wane, hope so.
@harbie what a fantastic turn around time for the windshield reimbursement. Then taking on a new client? lol. When it rains
it pours, or maybe you're " younger than you think! " with more energy than you expected to have. Hope all goes well.
My update on my " drunken sailor " type of walking. Had both ears flushed on March 30th and was told that the residual moistness
inside the left ear would all dry up. Yeah well it DIDN'T. Hearing still all muffled so I went back to the GP on Wednesday with a hot
ear and pain. He says the left ear is INFECTED!!! Oh Lord. So now it's 10 days of antibiotic ear drops.
DH is once again my caregiver. The giver of these drops. I want this to be resolved asap.
I'm starting to wonder was this even Vertigo at all or was it a slowly developing ear wax/dry skin mess that has now turned infected?

Good Morning Everyone.,
Feeling a little sore this morning.
Although I am fixated on steaming the kitchen, I did not do this yesterday but I did stream and scrub down the garbage can. Pretty sure I need to buy a new one, when I was cleaning it, it looks like it is dirty but in reality it is rusting. Will add this to my list of items to buy and see if I find one on sale.
Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen because I did not the night before and gave the counters a good scrub down (I wipe them down nightly, but on the weekend I like to scrub them down). Then I took out the garbage and recycling and decided since both were empty it was time for a good scrub. MY back did not appreciate this. But I used my steamer and my new hand held scrubber.
After that I was done took a shower and the plan was to sit on the couch but Mom wanted to watch something on YouTube Live so I went back in the kitchen emptied and scrubbed out the fridge. Washed all the produce.
For Dinner I made Feta Chicken with a side of Broccoli.
After dinner we processed all the Chicken, 11 bags of Chicken Chunks, 2 bags of Tenders and a large Container of "Pizza" Chicken (basically chicken chunks, seasoned with Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Onion and Paprika and cooked, we use these for Naan Pizzas and anytime I need cooked chicken to make dinner quicker), this will become probably 6 or 7 bags once we portion it out.
I do not know what it is but I am 100% in spring cleaning mode and I want things to leave my house. Not sure what today will bring but first thing first, I need to go and make an Apple Fritter Cake for Easter Dessert and maybe some Cinnamon Knots to give everyone for breakfast, we shall see.
Happy Saturday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good day!
This morning I had a quick shower, dressed and headed out. Went to RCSS to walk around and to look at the frozen ground beef tubes (to make cheap tacos for guys) they didn't have any but I got the ground turkey. Good deal! Will be perfect for my Sweet potato taco bowls (dinner idea).
Also found BLSL chicken breast on clearance-large tray. And picked up my Flash food box.
The veggies from the box have been cleaned/prepped for dinner. Chicken is prepped in the fridge for dinner. Thawing 2 tubes of ground turkey and will cook and season with taco spice for future dinner.
I do have to go to the bank but figured I would go later this afternoon and try going for a walk down to the town dock so was waiting till the rain was done. Will have to bundle up because it is getting windy and cold out there!
Have a great weekend!

I don't know if it is a systemic change, but I have noticed the total absence of ground beef $10 3-pound value packs from my RCSS. I asked the meat manager about the missing product and he said that they just don't order any (probably due to the price). I told him that I did find some 2-pound bags for $10 at the No Frills, that come from the same company.
If anyone is looking for the cheaper beef, I found some 1.1kg Great Value bags at Walmart for $10 and some 2-pound bags at Freshco for $10. Substituting the lean ground turkey of 4-pounds for $10 is a good idea.Last edited by HermanH; Sat, Apr 4th, 2026 at 06:12 PM.

@walkonby Thanks for the compliment but I’m definitely not younger than I think
. I’m sorry you’re having an ear infection now but as bad as it seems it’s better than having vertigo. At least they have antibiotics for that.

Just got home from work and stripped the bed, washed and dried it. Replaced with new sheets, folded and put away 2 loads of laundry all before picking up Dh. We stopped at a park on the way home and went for a walk in the sunshine. 20 degrees

. I didn’t get around to planning my garden so I’ll do that either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Have a great Saturday everyone
