Went for my walk down by the water with my coffee. Good thing I had my coffee with me because I had to seek shelter when the heavy rain started!
Once is slowed down I headed back in the rain...wasn't too bad. I then walked all the docks at the town dock and then went to the Farmers Market. Was hoping to get something fresh dinner but there was really only asparagus which I already have for dinner tonight. (I paid $1.98 for a nice 1Lb bunch- they were selling for $7 for a smaller bunch....which is probably from the same farm!)

Dinner tonight is Chicken breast, asparagus/mushrooms/onions, smashed mini potatoes and ceaser salad.
Took a large package of chicken out of the freezer so will have leftovers for tomorrow night.

The Watson Buttermilk chicken strips are on sale at Giant Tiger this week. They are our "take out treat" Not bad as an easy meal cut in strips on a salad.
(Love a similar salad at Boston Pizza)

I smell eggs cooking...Good! I keep reminding my family to eat the eggs! I can't even take advantage of the No Frills deal since we have so many thanks to my sister loading us up!

    Have a great Sunday!

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
Yesterday I did not get much done but made it so we could use our Kitchen again and kind of use our Dining Room. It took 4 trips with garbage and recycling but some of that is I couldn't take recycling out last week as the bins were full and I just didn't take the garbage out last week (weird, I know, so not me). To use the Dining Room you need to move the old Air Conditioner but at least we could get into the Dining Room again.

Today was supposed to be full on prep but well, kind of. I tried making Blueberry Ricotta Scones, let's just say I won't be making them again.

I did prep the produce and it is on the counter drying.

I did make a marinated Bocconcini, Cucumber and Pepper salad I will either pair with Pasta or Romaine for lunch.

Cleaned out the fridge and just put that in a small bag I can take out after the rain stops. I expected since I had an off week to have more food waste, just had a 1/4 of a pepper, found a bad lemon in the fruit bowls and some cooked pasta we had no sauce to pair with. Cooking the right amount of pasta is truly a life skill LOL.

I also moved some stuff around in the dining room so now I can easily get the stuff we regularly use and will only have to move the AC for the things we use less often.

Now I am waiting for Mom to take a bath so I can take a shower (she dislikes when the curtain is wet, I get it). I have some work to get done and need to figure out dinner. I found we have two open jars of Alfredo Sauce so thinking maybe an Alfredo Bake.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

I was searching Cineplex to buy 2 online tickets to the new Spielberg movie Disclosure Day!
We are NOT really the " going to the theater " people, spoiled by the streaming services BUT this one looks very good!
Imagine my disgust at one location not offering any Senior tickets, AND the adult price was over $30.00 per ticket.
This was one of those AVX or Dolby fancy whatever screenings. They had no general seats.
So I switched to another location, found Senior tickets for $15.00 apiece....annoyed that they charge a " fee " to book
online. Why? I do all the work printing off the tickets. Grrrr. Still excited tough, might get popcorn could run us another
    $20.00 for that....ha ha

@walkonby , that fee gets me as much as the restaurants that charge a process fee (or delivery fee that doesn't go to the driver) when you place your order online, especially when I am picking up, and then they ask for a tip.

Super frugal day. No spend except for gas to fill up. That was extra frugal as the sign said 176.9 but the pump said 174.9 . That’s so sad that that’s a deal now.

Happy Monday! Sun is trying to shine but the sky is gray and heavy looking!

I have a busy work day but hope to get out for a walk before the rain....I just need to make it happen!

Dinner tonight is leftover chicken breast and will make fresh asparagus with mushrooms and sweet potato. So will be easy to get dinner on the table!

Laundry- Need to do a load of laundry today since I hang it all to dry and I would like to be able to have it done and put away tomorrow or Wednesday.

Ok I think I am going to brush my teeth and then put on my runners and get out for some fresh air! Then finish the important work stuff I am working on!

    Have a great day!

@Frugalbigmama thanks for letting us know about the chicken strips at GT. DH picked up a box because he likes this kind of thing so it’s good to know he won’t be disappointed.
I cashed out all my Scene points for a Sobeys gift card. I like that the ecard can be downloaded to my Apple wallet and they have a promo on now so I redeemed 260.00 worth and already have my bonus 520 scene points.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Morning! Looks nice out but the radio keeps talking about the rain that is coming!

Yesterday I went out for my walk early in the morning...it turned out to be a beautiful day. I was able to meet my friend at Starbucks in the afternoon and we sat outside there for 2 hours chit chatting!

I am going to finish my coffee and then put on my runners and go out because I don't think I will be lucky for the rain to miss us later today. Will go to a different lake for my walk to mix it up. I have a pretty quiet work day (I hope) so thinking I will move my desk and give the floor a good clean.
Think I will just do office tidying today- and that load of laundry I didn't get to yesterday! I am wearing stuff that needs to be washed so will do it later today so I can just have a shower and put on PJ's after I load it all in the washer!

Dinner tonight- Salad for sure! Romaine topped with onion, peppers and cucumbers. I will make a dressing with the 1/2 fresh lemon. And either chicken or beef patty- depending what I feel like- I am thinking it will be chicken since I try not to eat beef too much. I do think I will go to No Frills later today and buy a few more of the 1lb Lean on for $5.25 (not great but it is what it is) I need to have options! oh and I need to go grab the 4pk of ground turkey before they reduce the size- I think that was at Walmart. Will roam around before dinner to get more steps in.

Now off to pay the annual house insurance bill. Next week is the annual car insurance bill. Yeah for a few cash back $'s on my card in December

    Have a great day!
