Gosh, it took a while to figure out how to post songs I have on WMP - and I found SoundCloud, so I hope this works!
These two songs were recorded in 1982, with just a portable cassette recorder.
They are of my Dad and Mom singing two Ukrainian Easter songs with my oldest sister's in-laws.
In the recordings, it's my Dad with the lead baritone, and my Mom's voice is the alto.
The songs aren't long - they are expressing the joy of Christ being risen on Easter Sunday - that's what 'Khrystos Voskres' means.
Hopefully the links work, then click on the play button.

Worked for me on Safari.
What a great memory to have
Thankfully my parents are still with us, but I would cherish this so much if my parents were gone.

Aw, you bet I still cry when I hear them...
My oldest sister's husband converted the songs last year - so that was uber-emotional then. But before today, I could find nowhere to make them accessible.
Now I have many recordings of my dad - he was a Deacon in our church and prior to that had been a Cantor. There are many cassette tapes of all the special selections which are sung in our church Liturgy at varying times of the year - he had to learn all of them and practice from them.
The best one I have - the most treasured next to the ones I posted here - is the only one taped recording we have of him deaconing an Easter service in Edmonton - it's absolutely amazing to hear that! I bawl through most of it... I have to get that put on disc somehow...

Lynn, at times it is heartbreaking, but still so beautiful... I wish, though, I had a video of Dad singing the Liturgy - that would be awesome. Or, of his ordination - but that was in 1979.
We have a 78 recording (some of you won't even know what that is!) of my grandfather (dad's dad) singing with a friend of his - and it's SO cool! Decades ago, I taped it on cassette (when there was still a stereo around which played 78s) - but I know one of my sibs still has the record, and we should find some way to get it on CD.
The recording was done from a travelling salesman, who would travel to these small villages and make recordings on the spot for people. My grandfather was a cantor, and had a great voice just like my dad.
