Many years ago we went to South Africa and visited a cheetah reserve which had a pair of half grown tame cubs...lovely until one went sprinting aound the enclosure and in passing swiped at my ankle..

Even though I had leather boots and 2 pairs of hiking socks, it left a cut at it's deepest 5mm deep by 3 cms long in the flesh...I was lucky to not have had my Achilles tendon sliced..

Oh my! I am thinking what a freaky thing to have happened. Thank goodness it was not worse. In a way it just shows us the power these wild animals have, we humans usually infringe too much when it comes to wanting to interact in their world.

Glad you'all enjoyed it! And I agree...I'd be in heaven getting snuffled and tasted by those cubs!!
I only get mauled by Jenny..Every time I come in the house, she's running in circles, and I say, okay...we'll go make-out on the sofa, and as soon as I sit down, she's hopping up to be picked up and I take off my glasses in preparation for her kisses! All over....and some...um...let's just say...don't ever try to talk when being kissed by wee Jenny!!!
