I can never tell if the pics will show up or not. . . .Hope so!! Amazing stuff!
It's Just PaperBy Canadian paper artist, Calvin Nicholls.
There is nothing simple or ordinary about his paper art.
Where we would simply use a piece of paper and a pair of scissors, Calvin uses everything you could possibly think of to carve, cut and rip perfect details onto his creations.
The motifs are all wildlife, and that must be one of the hardest categories of things to make with paper since there are sometimes impossible details on animals.
These details are amazing!
I can't even fathom the time it must have taken to create these masterpieces of art.

Wow! Those are really beautiful. I love the fine detail and can't imagine the hours of painstaking work it took to put it all together. I am always amazed by the talent of artists; I'm a talented person, but I definitely fall into the shallow end of the gene pool when it comes to visual art (and music), so the creations of others never cease to amaze me. My favourite is the porcupine

These are absolutely amazing. That is taking paper tole to an entire new level for sure. The talent of people never ceases to amaze me, the time they put into the awe inspiring pieces of art. Thanks for posting this, it brings back a lot of memories (I'm dating myself) of sitting around the dining room table, with mats, tiny scissors and blades, doing paper tole, but never anything even close to as amazing as this.
