Thread: Turned my kids in coupon fairys!
-
Sat, Jul 14th, 2012, 10:53 AM #1
Got 6 cases for minute maid yesterday(from 2 different walmarts) all free! Then my 5 & 7 year old boys said they wanted to have a juice stand! They have helped me tremendously since my hystectomy last dec with gathering coupons and are always looking for me! Too cute! So I set them out front of e house while I attempted gardening, not expecting anyone other than the neighbors. Well they must be cute! Cause they made $35.00! So shocked! Needless to say. My garden is still a mess. But my boys decided to split the money and bank half for a rainy day! So proud that at their young age I am all ready teaching them the value of working hard and saving money the smart way! Love them to pieces!

I like the lessons being taught. Believe it or not, THAT experience of the stand will stay with them later in life. Fabulous post!

Thanks for a cheery read for a dreary Sunday in Southern Ontario.

That's great! I thought your title meant they were coupon fairy in stores. I thought that was such a great idea, to entertain the kids on the shopping trips.
I think I'm going to put together a stack of coupons I don't want and give three to each son (or even grab from the coupon zone) (6 &9 ys) for our next shopping trip. It'll be like a scavenger hunt for them to match products to the coupon.
