Natalka, that was super nice of them! Hmm I have never cooked with squash before...let us know what you come up with!

The only way I have ever eaten yellow squash is like cooked and mashed, I suppose it was. It was when I was at university, in residence. Mind you, it was 'institutionally' cooked, so that probably didn't help it...
I remember it just being squooshy and bland...

Well, after zooming through a whole bunch of squash recipes - I think I'll try it a few ways.
First, breaded and fried like I do for eggplant (zucchini is supposed to be good that way, too).
Second, a casserole with potatoes, etc.

It's a big squash, but I won't know til I cut it open how big the seeds part is in the middle.
I'm up for a cooking adventure this weekend, lol!

Its pouring rain here...such a great day for cuddling on the couch and watching a movie with popcorn! TO bad I wasn't home lol
