I have a confession.... I can cook just about any type of cuisine you throw at me, and I can decorate a cake in my sleep.. however, I CANNOT BOIL AN EGG! I've tried every tip known to man for making hard boiled eggs, and every time I peel them, they come out looking like the surface of the moon!

So... finally getting to read my flyers just now, I noticed Canadian Tire has "Eggies" on sale for 50% off this week. So buddy, if you really really love me, and need a "knock her socks off" gift, this is it! I sooo love deviled eggs, and taking them to work, but am too embarrassed because they look so awful!

P.S. Still thinking on the unicorn.... OK, back to my flyers...

I sell them thru Regal Gifts and some people like them some people don`t. My mom tried them and she found they were to hard to clean and returned them but I had another lady order 4 sets of them and swore by them!

The idea behind the Elf on the Shelf is that Santa can`t be watching all of the time, so he sends out his elf helpers. You put the elf in a different place each day, for example, he could be `fishing`for goldfish crackers in the toilet or riding alongside Barbie in her dream car.

There are some great ideas of where to put the elf on pinterest.....tried to add a picture, but silly computer wouldn`t let me.

Omg that would be awsome my son is 15 so you figure he would be pretty jaded at this point but he has a weird fear of gnomes. so this summer I bought this garden gnome and would randomly place it in places to freak him out. On his bed side table when he was sleeping or on the shelf above the toilette. Ahhh that what really get you threw the teen years messing with them. he he!

heh NickiB. dn't bother with the Eggies thing either.. if you have a hard time doing them normally its not any better. i grabbed a bag of them mixed with other goodies at Talilze. tried them out OMG forget it. more time to open them. fill em, get em out, clean em out, put them back together..
the way I make boiled eggs. FIRST and most important tip use OLDER eggs. the new ones stick to the shell. the older ones slightly pull away after boiling. i usually wait about 1-2 weeks to boil my eggs. fill a pot with holder. place on stove, put layer of eggs in bottom carefully. turn on water leave to 'boil' at about 6-7.. for about 5-10 minutes. they dont' really boil hard but still cook. then once done turn off the heat. take the eggs and put them in the sink. turn on the cold and crack the end.. start rinsing as you peel. it SHOULD work. at least it does for me everytime. plus 9/10x i never get the green ring.. funny thing if *I* make boiled eggs. they are gone in a day or two. its like no one else knows how to make any. fried/scrambled yes boiled no.

Oooooooh, I want an Elf on the Shelf to freak out my teenagers!!

Unicorn Wish? A New Tattoo or a new job.

Rough Day: My son, who is almost 18, has been growing his hair forever. Last night, at dinner, he told me that his bangs were getting too long so what I said was...."Trim them. Just don't cut them any higher than your eyebrows."

HE CUT THEM ABOUT HALF AN INCH LONG!! Seriously, there was about an inch and a half between his eyebrows and his bangs. He looked ridiculous. I had to hunt around and find someone to cut his hair today because he cannot go to work or school looking like that. He now has very short hair much to his dismay. Teenagers suck.
