Greeting card for halloween??! Really?!!!

I have noticed in my local stores in the greeting card section that there is actually cards that you can send to your friends and families for halloween. Don't get me wrong, I love halloween! We decorate every year, kids love our house. We will give out full size chocolate bars this year ( thanks to SDM, lol ), but sending a card for $ 3.99+up..really???? Or am I just to frugal?!

I do buy some Halloween cards just because I think its cute but I buy mine from the Dollarstore no way would I pay more, except for my daughters first Halloween.

My grandmother used to send us all cards for halloween...she lived about 5 hours away so we only saw her a few times a year. She was also the type that would buy cards for $5 and up

I guess that it is a bit useless to give to friends or family, but for people that live far away from each other is understandable since they want to wish them a happy halloween.

It's a money grab because old people love spending $50 on cards to send to kids. Sending one for a buck, maybe, but most people go for the sparkly $5+ cards.

+1 for putting an apostrophe in Hallowe'en... this is how I was taught to spell it, too!

I can see doing Hallowe'en cards as a children's craft idea for a rainy day in October, but not as something to go out and buy. We used to do crafts like that as kids, making birthday and seasonal greeting cards with construction paper and coloured pencils on crappy days so that we were entertained without making too big of a mess

I don't buy them but I make them. We don't have kids but have 7 kid neighbours that we do extra stuff for at Hallowe'en so I make them a card and a gift bag.

LOL, but some of us non-pagans celebrate it as the Eve of All Saints' Day, which is Nov. 1.
'hallow' means to make holy
