I called Petro Canada. They said there's nothing stopping the company from buying large quantities to offer for resale/as promotions, but that they are not affiliated with YourCityDeals.com and weren't offering the promotion in conjunction with them.
So...that doesn't necessarily mean they're not legit - and it also doesn't mean that they are. I guess we won't know until someone gets the GCs (or doesn't!).

There's contact info on the site - I think I found it in the "news" section, there was a press release they did (or claimed to have done...it wasn't a standard joint release, based on the hundreds I've done; the information about Petro Canada is not their standard blurb, and there were other issues).

I called and it was the right company. Not really sure why it would be different if they called the # I posted above.

Hmmm currently they have sold 7823 cards which translates to $782,300.00 now take away $383,327@$49.00 per card the company is out of pocket $398.973.00 WOW what a promotion. I have not seen some of the biggest companies around taking that kind of hit on a promotion. I hope there not scamming people.

Seen and heard enough.
I hadn't realized at time of purchase that the site had been sold to new owners obviously.
The current owner has a criminal record. The addresses given are for a photocopy place and a storage facility.
My apologies if my original post provided anyone with confidence to buy. I have issued paypal disputes for both myself and my wife. From what I hear, people are getting refunded almost immediately from this seller.

Further, Paypal refunded me in THREE minutes after I escalated. That has to be a record; guarantee they know SOMETHING is up!

I think we should call "Paypal head office" and let them know there is such a thing, ask them to pay attention to this event. As long as Paypal hold our money, We will be OK for getting our money back.
The phone#: 402-935-7733
I am going to call now and will update it.
Updates: I just called and was told:
1. hope more people to call in, then they will start to pay big attention to it.
2. If the money go through Paypal, the paypal has a 45 days warranty policy.
I think in 45 days, we will know if this is scam or not.Last edited by hcao; Mon, Oct 29th, 2012 at 09:24 PM.
