Hi everyone!!
Hope everyone is having a better Monday the me
Had one student have a huge tantrum on the floor (gr.6!!!)
Had teachers treat me like I am dirt and not doing my job!
Had the crappiest weekend ever..dh is going to a lawyer today to start the separation process and I can't find a lawyer to even look at my case for under $5000. And I do not have that kind of money

I just want to run away and cry for days!

Hi all. Popping in to say hi. Just found out I'm having surgery to remove my tonsils in a few months. Blah.

Just think of all the yummy popsicles you'll be able to have!
When I was in my early 20s I had a string of getting tonsilitus - doc said, the next time I got it they would have to come out - and I never got it again!

oh Natalka. def. not having it in my home. local community centre thanks to pinterest, its all cheap, easy and fun.

Have you looked into legal aid? Students studying law?
There must be some sort of group you can access to get this kind of information in your city - for others who are separating/divorcing...

I am told we have too many assets for legal aid. But I can't get at them until we separate!! So frustrating! I looked on line for info on students etc..but I have not found any Lots in Alberta and Manitoba. Thanks for your ideas

Abby, sorry to hear of your crappy weekend. Hope things get better. As for legal aid, I would make an appointment and go down and see them anways. Sometimes they can take the case on at a very reduced rate. Otherwise ask them, should I be selling some of OUR assets to pay for the lawyer? Unfortunately most lawyers don't take assets (do you own a pig) as a downpayment. Sometimes I have to shake my head

Cold is somewhat better - but I really have no voice.... son gives me heck for trying to push to talk...

It's nice to wake up in the morning and find out it's PLUS one, and now it's plus four! Almost bikini weather here!

Bahaha, just thinking about the last time I wore a bikini Lets just say it was before the kids were born If that cold and laryngitis doesn't clear up soon, you might need some antibiotics to clear it for you. Stay inside, keep covered up for the day and drink a nice hot toddy, more than one if you want, but not more than 10...

LOL - my son has been offering rum from his stash, or a bottle of red wine... that's all I need - to get pie-eyed by myself for the day!

I don't have an infection (thank goodness!), so antibiotics won't do anything at this point. I do have to keep a watch on the cough, though, in case it turns any nastier, but I'm hoping it's clearing!

I keep saying - just one more day....

Yes be careful, a cold can turn into pnuemonia so easily it seems. I'm happy the sun will shine for you today. I'm lying here, still in bed with my Marley beside me, wishing for sunshine.

It's funny, my dog has a bedtime and a wake up time, just like kids (only you don't have to keep telling them to get back in bed and go to sleep), if I wake up early and am able to get out of bed earlier, she won't move. She gives me that silly stare and stays in bed until 8, then she want to get up. Such a routine she has, and she NEVER breaks it. Dogs, I love them!!!

Abby, when I went through the separation process with my ex-husband I found a lawyer through friends and called and explained that I didn't have a lot of money and that I wanted everything done as cheaply and quickly as possible- he was amazing and I've used him for a few other things over the years. It never hurts to ask! Big hugs to you girl, PM me if you need to talk!
