He doesn't have a family member or close friend that would take him in until you can sell the house in a few months? Or even just rent a room from someone?

Sorry you are in the situation. It's not fair to the kids and that would be my issue.

He has no close friends. He travelled 95% of time for his job for the last 5 yrs but quit that job a year ago and does not travel much at all with this job. His family lives 2 hrs away. He says no to the room.

It is really not fair..but that is life and I have Ben living it since August

Abby it sure sounds like you have your work cut out for you there. We all hope that you can find just the right place for you and the kids. 2013 just has to be a better year than 2012, that is a given. Hug the kids every day, they will see your strength start to shine through don't worry, that sadness is going to lift.

Right now I pay a third of all house hold bills. And he pays 2/3. He has car payments..which I do not. And he pays more for gas every month. He buys alcohol which I do not. He shops at Costco which I do not. I have budgeted on my own since starting back to work in September. I get 0 pay for the 2 weeks over the holidays and also on march break. I will collect ei over the summer. But I think I will need to find a job too in the summer.

well we've discovered that although he is an 'adult' he IS still a teenager. and teenagers can STILL be grounded.. he's NOT liking this at all.. but its working. really hoping he's learned his lesson.

My christmas was fantastic - the kids got a ton of gifts from family members. We went for dinner to the in-laws. DS's bday is tomorrow... we're gonna celebrate it at in-laws again, becuz MIL is bed-ridden, so I would love for her to participate in his bday as well.
