    Well, I can't speak for the other ones, but for PEI, I'll 'believe it when I see it'....Zellers JUST started Liquidation, and you could still do returns through Jan. 1st. We have been told summer/fall 2013. I can't wait for Target to open here, but I just don't know how they could close a store, clear it out, do major renos, rebuild & restock within the next 2-3 months!

    Of course. A true SCer would do this.

    Also price match at Freshco, Home Depot, RCSS, No Frills and Canadian Tire.

    I am going to hold on to some $ so I can shop here. Ours is coming by Easter or before so the rumour has it. Just the look and feel of a new place to shop excites me!

    Considering the Debit Card option..still trying to understand the whole concept..maybe I am a little slow..lol. I don't use debit alot but maybe worth my while if I shop there enough. Especially in combination with store+mfr coupon!

    If you are more comfortable with cash, you don't need to get the Red Card.
    The financial experts say people who pay with cash end up spending less.
    Keep using your coupons with great sale deals, and you will do just as well.

    If you use the Target Debit card, you save an additional 5% on your purchases.

    Yes.
    Canadian Tire is still better, IMHO - use their coupon and buy gas and get extra Canadian Tire money -- don't need to sign up for anything, and you still get a discount.

    By winter 2013 I took that to mean a year from now. Maybe I'm wrong.

    Our store will be opening March/April. Very excited.

    Yes. By Wednesday, March 20 -- first day of Spring 2013.

    Here's how a TLC Extreme Couponer shops Target USA.
    Receipt = $29.xx
    OOP = $2.xx
    Target gave her a $5 gift card in this deal
    Jane was on that show.

    Yeah, not so sure they would be willing to price match % off sales here.

    I emailed Target Canada about this printable coupon and $5 gift card and I got the response this a new area.I took that as a big fat no to $5 gift cards and printable coupons.Target I think bought the Zellers leases from the equity group for $1.8 billion.The newspaper Red Deer Advocate had a story and photo of the outside of the former Zellers and it said the renovations to change it to Target is costing $7 million.Who's going to pay for all this buying and renovating the Target Canadian customers of course through the nose that's business.

    Yes.
    But a Smart Canuck knows when a deal is truly a deal. (Get it. Zellers use to sell "Truly" brands).We can tell Target no deal, if they try to increase the prices for us to pay.

    So Target Canada -- give us a deal, or it's no deal for you.
