I took a ton of pictures when my boys started school!!! Take lots Lola, it's a big occasion! Are you sad about seeing her go this morning? It was hard for me because my kids had never been to daycare or preschool so it was the first time I was ever really away from them!

I'm sad and nervous.

I'm used to having her here 5 days a week and now I'll get her for 2. It's easier because she's been in preschool. But still rough. Her bedtime is 6:30pm so it feels like I'll barely see her for dinner and bath time and then bed.

It'll certainly take adjusting. I'm hoping DS is okay, big changes for him since DD and DH will be gone so much.

It's so quiet here with DS in school! I had to send him with a huge bag of presents for the teachers today because they last day of school before the break was a snow day lol. I feel bad for sending Christmas themed presents after Christmas but what can ya do?

So, DD is officially at school.

DS bawled the entire way home and then for 20 more minutes when we got home! I wasn't expecting him to be quite so upset. He finally calmed down when he talked to Daddy on the phone. So happy DH called during his lay over in Toronto. He is now on his way to Halifax and then 1 more flight after that.

Aw, poor little guy It will be hard for him but eventually he will come to appreciate the alone time with you. So your DD doesn't have to take the bus? You are SO lucky, that's the one thing I hate... we live at the very end of the route so poor DS is the first one on and the last one off, and he's on the bus for almost an hour.

morning to everyone else.. im not quite awake yet and dont' think i'll ever be today. i swear both my guys were up at least 2-3 x during the night.. honestly i thought we were over stage years ago.. then i had to get them going at 630 this morning.. thankfully i think they both had butterflies and were easy to get out the door.. but that left me tired today.. and of course a list a mile long as i thought oh i'll wait til their all gone to do my work.. *facepalm*

Yeah, DS will settle into a routine and he'll be okay. Just a big day with D and DH both gone. He goes to daycare tomorrow so it'll be easier. I'm also hoping to find an activity to do on Wednesdays with him. Maybe another library group or sport ball or swimming lessons.

Oh My Goodness an hour on the bus is so long!

We live right around the corner from the school. 15 minutes each way but that's going slow because I was pulling DS in his sled. On my own its less than 10 minutes.

Walking in the winter sucks, the ground is so uneven for pulling the sled. Fall and Spring will be a breeze. Plus when she old enough she can walk most of the way alone. I'll walk her to the corner behind our house and the just watch until she turns into the school yard.

Location was a major incentive for our school choice. Plus is has a great reputation and the teacher was fantastic! I "interviewed" the 3 schools in our district before deciding.
