Anyone ever try this??? I believe Tuesday is Crazy Hair Day at DD's school and I want to find something neat to do. Unforunately it's winter so I can do weird spikes or anything so I was thinking colour that WILL wash out.
Instructions
- 1 Pour the shampoo and powdered drink mix into a large bottle or container.
- 2 Add a tablespoon of water to the shampoo-and-drink mix and shake it to mix well.

- 3 Use the colored shampoo to wash your child's hair. Be sure to cover the hair evenly so the color is even.
- 4 Rinse the shampoo from your child's hair with cool water. If you do not use all of the colored shampoo in one washing, each time you apply the shampoo, the color will appear richer and deeper. Once you discontinue using the colored shampoo, the color will wash out of your child's hair within three to five normal washes.
- 1 Pour the shampoo and powdered drink mix into a large bottle or container.

Baby shower yesterday went well. It was a sixties mod theme, everyone seemed to enjoy the trivia we did for the game and my niece was spoiled! Today we went to her baby dedication at church. It has been a weekend all about her, she deserves it though. My two are in bed for a bit and I think I will scrapbook.
Love the paintings Lola. Halloween wigs are another option for crazy hair day."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Good morning all! Happy Monday lol
Lola, that sounds like so much fun... I want to do it to my OWN hair!! Our school doesn't do stuff like that as much as they used to, they used to do have color theme days, 80's day, crazy hat day... now all they get is the occasional PJ day.

lola, I've only ever heard of people just using Kool-Aid, not mixed with shampoo.
Easier idea might be to just use spray dye - just get it from the dollar store, there are cool/neon colours, too. Washes out right away.
The pictures your kids made are just beautiful! What type of paint did you use?Last edited by Natalka; Mon, Feb 4th, 2013 at 07:24 AM.

Dh suggested the spray too but she wants all her hair done and I find the spray doesn't do much, not like a shampoo does. I'm going to try it on a piece of my hair this afternoon and then do it on her tonight if it works.
Thanks, Nat! I used just regular washable finger paint. Michaels had a 10 pack for $5.99 (small bottles so they are gone though). I'm thinking of sealing it in somehow though...

What a night!
Against my better judgement I let a man into my bed around 3:30am.
WOW! He twisted himself into positions I didn't even know was possible. And one point he has his butt on my head.
And the sounds? And some points I thought there was a moose or maybe a water buffalo in my bed.
Oh and he coughed, burped and farted too!
But thankfully DS settled down and were we able to get about 2 hours of sleep. The joys of being a mom. lol

Bahaha, too funny Lola and I can totally relate! Even to the butt on the head part LOL. My little guy rarely ever wants to sleep with me but oldest DS will crawl in after a bad dream, can't sleep, etc... and for such a skinny dude he sure can take up a huge chunk of the bed!

It's very cool how the textures showed through. I would imagine you could use a spray acrylic. I know some parents use hairspray on kids' art, too.

And for anyone who had the pleasure of hearing me whine about possibly having to sleep in a tent (sorry for that lol)... DS and I get to stay in the trailer!!!!!!!!! Woot!! LOL. Tent camping+me= NO DICE hahahaha

I just know I wouldn't sleep in a tent... and I don't do well unless I get a good night's sleep, so it's better for me to be in the trailer!
