Never to old!
Besides, in reality, retirment age will probably expand 4 - 5 years once they change it, and they will. I think you should go for it! Yahoo!!

I was wondering the same thing. Remember Colonel Sanders didn't start his business until he was 65!!!

Considering that's it's similar to being a police officer, I would think trying out at 50 is ambitious unless you're in very good shape mentally and physically. As well, as a new recruit, you don't have any say over where you'd be posted.

i say go for it. why not. if its something you want to do.
i was 40 when i started my current job. i can't retire til close to 70 to have a decent pension.
do it!I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Second thoughts over the being posted anywhere? Or the physical part? I commend you for even considering a change, at 50 many feel they are better off staying where they are, you know safer. Well whatever you decide I am sure it will be exciting, as a change usually is!
