I've went somewhere sunny almost every year until the past 3 years. We took DD to Disneyworld when she was 1. lol
But then we had DS and just couldn't afford it. Then we moved last year and had some major costs come up that we weren't expecting.
Now we're working hard to make a family vacation happen. I just can't stand the whole winter. It's too long and depressing.
We are now in strict budget mode. If its not absolutely necessary or for an event (bday, Christmas, etc) then we don't get it.
It sucks but next year if we can swing the vacation, it'll be worth it!

I want to see HP world and have some butter beer. Lol

Ohhh I would LOVE to go on vacation!!! I've never taken my kids anywhere like that, hopefully things will get better and I can plan something for a few years from now

Finally have enough money saved to get my car fixed so I can get it on the road... I bought the darn thing in October of last year!!! Just have to get it through an E-Test and I can FINALLY have a car! I've got my resume all ready to go, and a guaranteed job if I want it at the nursing home where I did my placement

If I go with home care I can *sort of* make my own schedule... I give them my available hours and they go from there. I would LOVE to be able to pick up or drop DS off at school at least a few days out of the week- save him the hour long bus ride! The company my friend works for is pretty good about scheduling her within her availability but she has to do at least one afternoon shift a week and something like two overnights a month, which isn't bad.
I just hope I can still get my week off for the camping trip in July!!! There is no WAY I'm going to miss it LOL

My sister did that for years. She said it gave her more freedom and alone time (in between clients). She loved being a community nurse except for winter driving.
I'm sending you good vibes Sheets! I hope you get the perfect job for you

One of the things I learnt today was in one episode of the Backyardigans Pablo dresses up as Darth Vader. and I can't find a picture because that would make a killer avatar.
