gone are the days when 2 guys would settle things just by beating the cr*p out of each other and getting it over with. Not saying that was right but at least no innocent bystanders got hurt/killed.

No parent wants to believe their kid is capable of this. i can understand the denial of a parent or elder in the family, grasping at any explanation that takes away the guilt of such an atrocious offence.

Well it appears that this scuzz-ball may be cornered. Right now the police have what is believed to be the suspect cornered in a boat on someone's property. I'm watching CTV news and they have better coverage than CNN right now, but they are reporting that the suspect may be wearing a suicide vest. Lets hope it is the guy they are looking for.

Exactly..half of me is picturing a frightened young boy whose life was taken much a massive nose-drive by being mis-lead by his older brother.

The other half is imaging an evil b@st@rd who is capable of murdering one of my children.

The truth is almost certainly some where in between.

Darth....I'm of the same mind. But my gut feeling earlier as I posted, was that he was he follower of his older brother and father, and that he wasn't prepared to be a martyr.

He's in custody and now his parents ( who believed they were innocent) will know the truth.
I just feel he could have lived just fine as the young boy who came to that country without he hatred of his parents and his brother; unfortunately, he had no choice but to follow.
just my opinion.....he could be a brutal, cold-hearted murderer....but I just don't feel it.....

oh, for sure, Anisa, but I watched the interview or statement from the father and he absolutely did not come across as a concerned parent...more like a proud papa, making an accusatory statement...no, not a concerned dad at all, looking at his demeanour.

It gets pretty complicated and perhaps heads will roll when Russia warn the US about the older brother and he simply gets questioned and that's the end of that. Coukd they have done more, knowing he was involved with Al Qaida? Lots of issues will arise from thus.....jmo...
