This really makes me sick!

Anyone who has turned on the news lately has heard about this "alleged" Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine video. gawker an american tabloid website "claimed" to have seen the video and had an offer from the drug dealers who "supposedly" had this video to sell it for $200,000. Well, the "generous" people of Canada have joined together to raise over $200,000!! The met the goal today.

It makes me sick that there are children in Canada going to bed hungry, animals starving and having to be put down in shelters and families with sick children having to scape by to buy medicines and mean while people are pouring out their pockets to buy a video from the tabloids???

Furthermore, once the donations got close to the $200,000 mark, the tabloid claims to have "lost connection" with the people who "supposedly" had this video. It was all obviously a scam to get attention to the Gawker website.

The whole thing makes me sick!!

Yes, Jenny, Rob has been accused many times by the Star newspaper on many things, and they were wrong about when they said he hit a kid on the Don Bosco football team he coached. Did they print a retraction? Did they apologize? Nope. This one ( story) is way out there though, ( smoking crack and talking racial/gay slurs apparently) I pray that none of it is true, but how does the public react when 3 journalists ALL swear they saw it and heard it.
That is why I think many people donated money to get this drug dealer to give up his alleged video, because they wanted to see for them selves once it was made available to the public if he in fact was guilty or innocent.
What a circus this has turned into, Gawker did say the other day however that the money would either be returned to the donors or given to charity if they cannot get this video, as the drug dealer seems to have vanished mysteriously now.

I'm still reeling from the stories coming out, things that happened in the past. Such as being drunk at a ballgame and telling a woman she should be "raped and shot" when she told him to quiet down, giving a child the finger, making racial/gender slurs etc. I'm even more shocked at the people defending his behavior!!!

Everyone has their own opinion but this whole missing video & workers in mayors office resigning is surely mind boggling.Whatever happens in darkness, must come to light so if all this is true , it's only a matter of time.. Lets move forward...so many other leaders including Prime Ministers have been involved in scandals( not that that is what we should expect of them or condone) but it's nothing new.
