so that stray that I am falling in love greets me when I come home from work. today I opened my car door, looked back to the passengers seat to grab my bag, etc, and look who climbed onto my lap. note the steering wheel in the background.

These are our rescue kittens that we saved in March of this year. (picture heavy)

A young and inexperienced momma abandoned her litter of 6 in my mother-in-laws' barn. One of the 6 died and we divided up the litter between us and my mother-in-law. We took 2 kittens and my MIL took 3 and we raised them using a bottle.

In the first picture, we figure the kitten is about 10 days old. The eyes are still closed and she is SO tiny. (That's the hand of a ten- year old holding her if it helps you gauge the size better...)



This next photo is both of them at about 2 weeks, give or take:



And here they are at about 12 weeks.



I've never hand raised kittens before and it was a lot of work, but my god, it was the most rewarding experience ever. And...I've NEVER had kittens this people-friendly and loving before in my whole life.
