Hi, everyone!!
Back safely from Grundy, had a couple of HOT days, mostly stayed in our dining tent and read...hubby kayaked, walked a 2k trail...I walked Jenny... Drove home earlier today in driving rain...windshield wipers did nothing! Geez it was scary for a while. It did rain overnight, so we were glad we took down the dining tent last night..it would have been so icky this morning to put away wet...Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend!!!!

the sky was quite dark, the wind was high and the rain came hard, but it was short lived, so I am glad now. No repeats please.

*spit* ya that was about it.. 15 minutes of lightening, wind and thunder.. then 5 minutes of rain. IF.. pft whatever. it did cool things down.. i played in the puddles.. but after a week of hot HOT muggy weather.. would have liked a little more..
anyway. busy weekend ahead. garage sales, cleaning. last minute jobs around here. if you don't see me don't miss me too hard.

Morning All!

Inside day since it's raining. Hopefully it cools things off a bit!

Now to research fall programs. Thought I had it figured out - Gymnastics for $450 - But now DD is insisting on Dance Classes. GAH! Hopefully they are cheaper. lol

Oh and researching "CANDY" type products/decorations for DD's birthday. So if anyone knows where to buy cheap stuff - please let me know!

I already have the cake picked out and ordered, the favours (Candyland boardgame) and the invites picked out (not ordered). I still need plates/cups and some more decorations!

Lola what about just using some bright colored cups/plates. like red's or yellows.. as for decorations. get some colorful tissue paper and 'ball up' some newspaper and wrap the paper balls with the tissue and tie each end with a string or tape. like a mint or candy.

Bright Coloured plates/cups are my back up if I can't find any themed ones.

I did find some on amazon.com but they don't ship to Canada. Thankfully I have until December!

I did see some neat decorations ideas on Pinterest, but I'm not super crafty. lol. Mine would look like the "fail" pics. hahahah.

I'm hunting for a few strands of that Candy Garland you used to see in stores - maybe it's vintage now?

I guess I could just glue gun candy in wrappers together to make garland?

i so wish i could help you out Lola.. lord knows i could use the break..
so busy here, cleaning, laundry, im happy things are getting done.. but man im not going to get to enjoy the weekend before all the' fun' starts next week. on top of it all i have to get our carpets done.
