Colgate Total 85ml on a Sun/Mon sale (August 18/19) at SDM for .88 - I price-matched at Wal-mart and used my 1.50 coupons from the dentist's office to get overage against one kid's back-to-school purchases!

Was on my lunch break and headed over to Shoppers to pick up toothpaste on sale for 88 cents.
Saw a box of Cliff bars for 49 cents on clearance!!! Checked the expiry date and they are good until Oct 2013. I grabbed 8 bars. A lady neside me asked me why I was getting so many, I told her they are handy to have when you are out riding your bike or hiking and need a snack to refuel. She grabbed the rest of the bars in the box! lol

... on Saturday I went with the kids to our local recycling store looking for second hand magazines and books. I found one magazine for .25, and my son found a huge box of Charles Dickens books. They originally were asking $20 for the box, but upon seeing my 11 year old's excitement over something like this, told me to just take them. They also were getting rid of all their teen novels for free. We packed up 3 boxes full of books, paying only the .25 for my magazine. My son has already read Eclipse (the 3rd book in the twilight series) in 2 days, so believe me- these books will be put to good use! I'm just hoping they last the final 2 weeks of summer...
