Uncle Ben's has put out a specialty box with 3 instant cook rice packets and 3 sweet and sour sauces to accompany. All you have to do is add your chicken and it is supposedly a meal (although I will add veggies, too). Loblaws had them discounted today for $2.44 with 500 PC points and each one had a $4 peelie to use instantly on the chicken. There were boneless, skinless chicken thighs on sale in the meat department, and each package was around $4...basically free with the peelie. As each Uncle Ben's box had 3 packets, and the chicken was no charge, I figure a meal of the sweet and sour chicken and rice which would feed 3 people works out to about seventy five cents. I bought 5 and then went back and got two more...I may just skip the sweet and sour part, and use the chicken and rice for coq au vin or something else. Or use the extra rice with something else at another time. In any case, it was a winner!

You scored a great deal. I bought the same box with a peelie at $4.50 and thought I got a good deal. Yours is way better!

I got the same box on clear-out for $2 only. I got two boxes and
matched them up with almost free chicken drumsticks and boneless
breast strips. I'm definitely going back for more!

And I thought I did good. Mine had a 50% sticker on them. Reduced from $9.99 to $4.99 with the $4 off chicken as well. I also got the bonus 500 PC points and made sure I bought enough meat to get to the $30 threshold to get the 5000 bonus points offer.

I paid $4.50 per box and consider it very good deal.
Also noticed (disgusted) at the amount of peelie missing from the boxes. Someone(s) have the gall to steal the the peelies. Thieves!
