I hate being told by MIL, all the time, that I have to feed my 4yr old, that it's time for the kids to eat, that the kids are hungry, that food is ready and I can feed the kids, and everytime my baby is crying, is he hugry? is it his feed time? is he getting enough milk?, is he drinking enough? etc.... They are my kids. I'm not going to let them starve am I?
My mom would always tell me to do this and that just a few seconds before I was actually going to do them and it really annoyed me. She still does that when she come to stay over for a few weeks. If only she could wait to see if I was going to do them.

This is basically my answer, too. My mother tries to tell me how to raise my kids ALL THE TIME and it drives me batty.
Others include:
-don't tell me there's a stop sign coming up when I'm driving... I can SEE the darn things and I KNOW how much time I need to stop safely
-do NOT say to me "don't worry about it"
-don't tell me to hurry upSoft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur... happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr

I don't like being told what to do if your bossy, bi***y, a-hole etc towards me. If it's your employer, an emergency, urgent matter or a crisis that would be different. If someone were to ask could you bring me a glass of water, would you please tidy this up, of course I will comply if you ask nicely.

How to handle my critters. Or that it's cruel to take my cat outside on a leash. And dress him. If he were truly unhappy, our home would be in shambles (well, ok, it is these days with me hunting for Halloween stuff kept in a forgotten safe place and trying to dig out winter clothes ) and I'd have scars from him clawing me half to death while I sleep.
