water fountains, toys, cat beds.....etc are a waste of money

^ we haven't either, frugal. Husband made a scratching tower with levels for them to sit.
Otherwise, they love to play with any little thing that rolls, or a scrunched up piece of paper.
And, of course, a box. We got one the other day which they are currently loving - it's a long, flat one. They fight over who gets to sleep in it.

both our cats have used the very tall and multi layered scratch posts provided ( they are frayed from over use ) however, they also pick at important things like nice new wallpaper, or any new piece of furniture....gryphon I loved the captions!!

My cats actually really like their cat tree and cat beds. The cat tree has saved my wicker chair from being used as a scratching post.

My cats find torturing the dog their favourite amusement. He's a rather expensive toy, but does​ provide lots of fun.

we have a water fountain and they love it - encourages them to drink and we have two condos that 4 fight over. But toys Rascal loves his snake which is a measure tape and pipe cleaner he loves snake.

That's unfortunate, Gryphon. I had a really sad experience with a cat with FIV. I hope Marmalade has a long, happy life ahead!

I found these videos last week and I never heard of FIV before. I hope that guy and his cats are okay. I was actually going to get a kitten this past summer but it turned out a family member is allergic so that didnt happen.....yet

Oh, I love gingers, too - we had one lovely one, Teddy, a very long time ago.
Now there's an absolutely huge and fluffy one that we see around the neighbourhood a few times a week - he comes up our stairs to see if our kitties are home. (but ours don't go out)
