I wanted to use my coupon today for $2.25 off 12 pack of diet coke.

They are on sale for $3.49 so I thought I would be getting $2.25 off of the sale price of $3.49 making it $1.24 but when the cashier entered the code the price of the case changed from $3.49 to $5.99 and then the system took off $3.74 making the total $2.25.

The coupon CLEARLY states receive $2.25 off a case of 12. This coupon took off $3.74.

In the end I still got the pop but left confused.

That's really strange. They probably wanted to say "pay $2.25 for a 12 pack", but coupon has some other words (remember someone got a carlton card but there was a picture of heluva dip.... sdm can be very funny sometimes!)

but then what is the explaination of price changing from $3.49 to $5.99.
What are they doing to us?

Too bad the coupons expire on Friday and Saturday they have Pampers for $9.99!!!
I am not sure if you are aware, but SDM changes its prices for the next week flyer on Friday evening. I usually go after 8 pm on Friday if there is one of my personal coupons I want to use on the next week flyer. The price might not be posted yet, but I always check on the scanner. Might want to try it on the diapers.

Will these points work?
If your base points on your receipt show as 500 or greater you most likely will receive the 20x .... usually those offers are applied on the 14th day of the following month - so March 14 .... put a note on your calendar to check your SDM account and check. You should get them

You are asking the wrong person. You probably waned to say this to @CrazyQT? Lol

And now that i have helped you here i demand that you give half of the points she gives you, to me. I think it's a fair deal. Lol

@CrazyQT ... that's really a lot of points. How long did you take to get all these points? How often do you redeem your points? Or are you a hoarder?

Not at the store I was at. The cash clearly said $3.49 until she entered the coupon and then it turned to $5.99.

It doesn't take that long to be honest. My hubby uses our debit card for his work expenses which are upwards of $5000 a month and we utilize a lot of the bonus coupons. I don't redeem as often as some people here do but I do redeem several times a year.

Oh wow that's an amazing tip!!! Thank you!!!

And can you only use the coupon once or can you make more then one trip? Not trying to abuse the system, just wondering if it's a unique code on there? TIA!

You're right, in the Ontario flyer at least it says $3.49 - I don't know about other provinces. I remember because I PM'd at RCSS so I wouldn't have to pay tax

I had similar experience with my eggs coupon last week (?) too. The coupon stated $1.30 off but receipt showed $1.30 was charged. No complaint at all and it's a happy surprise.
