A Suggestion about Great Deals...

Hi Everyone,


I have a suggestion for everyone. When you find a great deal on something that is NOT listed a store flyer (ie. clearance deals) can you please say which store and what town/location? There are so many great deals out there but sometimes they are specific to certain locations.

If when you post you say "great deal on XYZ for $x.xx at RCSS in Ajax" than people know there's a deal that location especially, but more importantly they will know that other stores might not have it.

It's so disappointing that these chains don't put the same items on clearance at the same time...cause with all the great sharing on here they would clear their shelves nation wide in hours!!

Good point and thanks for reminding me. I am guilty of not putting a store location in my posts sometimes.

I WILL make a mental note to do it everytime from now on though.

Just wondering if anyone feels how I do..
I don't often put the exact location [I will sometimes pm the answer], as it can reveal too much of a person's identity sometimes; I live in a larger town/city, but I still don't like to state which one on the WWW. I know others on here live in SUCH small towns that if someone else from there were on here reading, they'd know who they were instantly.
*shrug* Maybe i'm the only one concerned... it's the same reason I didn't openly type everyone's address on my train, but had individual pockets for riders to open

Personally I don't mind putting the location but I have noticed that the majority of you are from outside Quebec and we definately don't always have the same things on sale at the same time. But my location is no secret and for those in Montreal I will put the store location. I also sometimes feel bad if I post a good find and send someone out on a wild goose chase. Of course there is always the PM option too.

I am pretty lax on hiding my identity too maybe I am a fool or too trusting! I haven't noticed any other members in Wasaga Beach but there is alot of us so who knows. I don't think anyone would fault anybody for not wishing to post anything that would make them feel uncomfortable or too exposed. If I have posted a deal I just assume that people will read the sidebar that states where I am from. The idea does make sense though for those in the bigger cities that may have more than one Wal-mart or what have you ! Great suggestion!!
