Waiting to see if Christie will run or wait it out until Hillary finishes her terms. He is young enough yet to bide his time. Let the republican party fight it out over which way they want to go in the next 8 years. They remind me of the PQ here in Quebec. No clue as to where they want to go. Extreme right, center right . I actually look forward more the republican debates than the democratic ones.

Rand Paul ends Q&A when pressed on GOP voters' vews on race and policing

The Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul walked out of a live interview with the Guardian on Friday, in his third testy exchange with a journalist since launching his campaign for president three days ago.

The Kentucky senator abruptly ended the interview when he was pressed over whether his campaign focus on the racial imbalances of criminal justice reform would win him support among Republicans.
“I think your premise is incorrect,” he said, in the interview in Iowa City. “Actually, I think I can take that message into a white evangelical church anywhere in Iowa and give exactly the same speech and be received well.”
When the reporter attempted a follow-up remark – referring to a December Washington Post-ABC poll that showed roughly two-thirds of Republicans to believe minorities receive the same treatment as whites under the criminal justice system – Paul walked out of shot.

Barely 24 hours after Hillary Clinton’s relatively low-key entrance into the 2016 presidential race, Republican Marco Rubio has declared his own intention to run for president, telling donors he feels “uniquely qualified” to to pitch his party as one that will defend the American Dream..
The first-term Republican from Florida told his biggest backers on a conference call on Monday that he saw the coming presidential campaign as a choice between the past and the future. In a swipe at Democratic rival Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rubio said the former first lady “is a leader from yesterday”.

Rubio said he had always felt the United States was about tomorrow.

I think Christie was 'done in' by that bridge scandal; unless Hillary does something incredibly stupid, he'll play the waiting game until that issue blows over. But we know things like that really never stay buried for long....
