Thread: Delete coupons off app to 'spend your points'???

I just came from shoppers. I was using 50,000 points to pay for my items. My total before tax was $101.62. The cash register said I would only get $85 instead of $100. The supervisor said it was because I had coupons on my app. Yes, there were coupons but I didn't buy any of those products! (I didn't think that would make a difference anyway ???) She had me delete everything off my app and rang in all the items again. It still didn't work! Took all the items to a different cash register but by this time I'm ready to tell them I no longer want any of the stuff. (Major hot flash going on didn't help either) I didn't want any more hassle so I had them scan my actual card. It worked! I was able to use my points!! Anyone else have that problem? I was excited to get this app and not have to worry about cards and printing coupons etc, but I don't feel comfortable with this app anymore.

It has nothing to do with offers on your app, but I would always have them scan my physical card anyhow.

This is just a thought. Do you have more than one optimum card that you use on your app? Maybe you accidentally had the wrong card scanned ?

What's the point of the app if you have to use the physical card?
No, I only have one card.

This is why you have to stay calm at shoppers and not be in a rush to go anywhere. Every time I go to shoppers, it is like a process

I had my coupons loaded on the app. Cashed in got $100 off my purchase and 3 days later got awarded 18,500 points for spending over $75. Bonus. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks soon and that'll never happen again lol

hmmmm.....I have been deleting all my coupons from my app just because I didn't want them taking my coupons away from me before I actually got to use them....maybe I will have to start leaving the ones in there that I don't actually want to use, just in case

It takes a while to get all the kinks worked out. I suggest hanging in there. I've earned SO many points with the personalized coupons
