I am gaining weight so have been checking in every few weeks or so instead of every week.

I am currently struggling. Ended up with an infection that does not want to clear and is just throwing my whole body off. A good chunk of last week all I ate was bread and pitas and various items to try to keep myself feeling semi normal. We will see how this week goes.

14 pounds heavier! Woot! Still on track for a healthy gain pregnancy. Averaging 0.5 lb per week so at the end a gain of 20 lb. being that I am 4 lbs more than before my first pregnancy I feel skinny and am going to have Coke tomorrow...I have been eating tons of spinach and deserve it.😜

Lol...I guess the two prodigal losers return, hm? I'm back on track also, for the past week...I just weighed myself the other day, so I don't know what I started at, so I'll weigh in next Friday (if I actually remember!). I'm back to WW since that's what worked for me last year. I did lose weight on Herbal Magic, but I just find it too restricting..heck, if I want a half can of Bush's baked beans, gosh darn it all, I'll have it!! Hmph.
Nice to see you on here again too, Walks!! We've chatted about how extra weight feels, so we know our own struggles...let's hope we continue to be exceptional losers!!
Granger, good for you, Hon! It takes dedication to not spoil oneself when pregnant (just ask me! I'm still carrying the weight from our DD, and she's 37!!)
Ashley, one step at a time...like our doc told me when I had gained weight with my bronchitis/flu thingy...get well first, then we'll deal with the weight. And he was right...take care of yourself, eat properly, get your vitamins and minerals, get well, then worry about the weight.

Oh, good heavens Curt!!! Don't leave us to our own devices! We fail most times, but geez, I keep thinking that if someone can actually make a diet work and stick to it like you, then so can I!!!
Like Walks said: green with envy, and I'm not kidding!
We know the work it takes to do what you've accomplished and that takes GUTS!
Like her, I wish you could understand what an accomplishment that's been for you, and realize that only a person who believes themselves to be worth it, would put that kind of effort into it! And hopefully for a good reason, like being around to walk your little girl down the aisle one day!
Now what about clothes? Personally I know that it took my DD to get me to stop wearing baggy, long tops to "cover up". Like, who was I kidding?! She took me shopping "just to try things on", mind you, because I insisted I'd look hideous in smaller sizes, but whoa!!! She was right (as usual, the Brat)...now no more long baggy tops for me! No skimpy short one, either, and no, I still prefer 3/4 length sleeves to sleeveless tops, but what a change!! I hope you've experienced the same, Hon!
Stick with us......you make it seem like this is all doable!!!

I love the Andy Williams videos. They looked so terrific. It seems like such a gentle time looking back. I'm not sure why it is so necessary to display these scantily clad emaciated bodies. Elegance is lacking IMHO.
I'm sending you all my very best.

Is this even POSSIBLE?!
I'm down 7.2 lbs since I weighed myself on Monday!!!!!! Okay, I know that we all lose quite a bit of weight the first week of dieting, but whoa!! What a whole whack of encouragement!
Now to deal with the all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet this evening with friends!!
The hardest part will be hauling my butt back onto that wagon tomorrow...
WALKS! Help!!!!!Grab my hand tomorrow and drag me up!!!

This is shared & dedicated to Lynn49. She'll know what I mean....
Meet me in the cafeteria for lunch & bring a pocket full of change,
We’ll dance like there’s no tomorrow; so what if we look strange,
Joan Jett had it right when she said to put in another dime,
The Moody Blues, ELO & Chicago would certainly suit me just fine,
The Bee Gees talked about Jive Talkin’ & Welcome Back Kotter was ace,
Did you ever think you’d be here on a little book all about face?
K.C. & The Sunshine Band taught us how to shake our little booty,
& Peter Frampton showed us the way, if we were feeling moody,
I’ll bet it’s been a long time since you’ve recalled The Captain & Tennille,
Is it true that Afternoon Delight never looses its delightful appeal?
Some of us may be Dream Weavers getting ready for our Golden Years,
But, I think that all of us are Still The One, we can laugh until there’s tears,
Paul McCartney sang Silly Love Songs & Queen sang about best friends,
The Eagles said Take It To The Limit so we can all hope for good ends,
Always play that Funky Music, no matter what makes your turntable spin,
For when you have a song in your heart, your sweetness shines from within.

Oh, sure...make me cry just when I'm about to get ready for a night out.....Brat.
Yes, my Friend, I certainly know what you mean....you and I and so many of us of a 'certain age' have come not only through the 60s, but we've also come through and survived (beautifully, I might add) those things, some awful things, that life chose to throw our way. And those things that are still and will likely continue to find us. Sometimes we're just Shaken All Over, but thank goodness we're also survivors, as evidenced by our being here, still kick in' it, in our own way...a little slower these days, but still keeping our shiny sides up.
Thank you for your kind words, Loocie...you made my day and more....

I love you Lynn49. You always inspire with your warmth, charm & kindness.
Can I share that I had breakfast with the cutest little bedhead I've ever seen. My little grandson is such a heavenly delight.
