I would say that the government is processing your claim to see if you are eligible to receive it.
I believe their is phone number you can call but I don't know it.

I got notice of approval yesterday and sent in my letter stating that I would like them to reassess back to 2006 as my approval stated. how long should it take from here?

Questions..

I printed out all the forms, filled out my name, address, and gave it to my psychologist near the end of March. It sounded like he writes a letter too and sends it with the forms.

How long can it take to hear if you are approved?
Do you receive a letter or email?

i was approved from 2005 i just looked they reassed but started payment jul 2006...am I missing 2005 or thats how its done?

Today My Account finally says " reassessment in progress" tomorrow will be my 8 week point, which I have been told when it should be completed. So I called cra, they are now saying it could be done by September 4 th!!! What happened to July 24 th? Does this sound familiar ?

I received the form today from my son's paediatrician. Where do I send the form/address??? My son was diagnosed with ADHD last year. He's currently taking Concerta. He sees a speech pathologist in school and get help from various specialists in school. Is there any hope of him being approved by the CRA??

Can someone answer please. Does your past taxes get reaccessed to determine how much your child is eligible for the DTC or does the taxes get reaccessed and you get money back? How does it work please???

Glad I found this thread. I have a question. I applied for DTC for my sons. I am approved but I am also in bankruptcy. Does anyone have any ideal how this is going to work out? Will any payments from the CRA be forwarded to my trustee. Will I get any retroactive payments for my sons?

Our daughter receives the DTC for epilepsy, ADHD, and FASD. We just send off the paperwork for our son who was just diagnosed with ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder and DCD. I know if approved he will get the same amount for the benefit that our daughter got. For those of you that had 2 children approved, was the tax credit for each year the same amount? We are trying to see if we would get the same amount our daughter got back each year, but not sure how they calculate the credit.

Hello beautiful people

It is now almost Dec 2015 and I have no idea what is happening with CRA times, specially the SUDBURY office.

Two questions:

I sent a faxed letter and identical mailed letter Nov 2 to ask for CBT back pay. For the ones in the know, when could I reasonably expect retroactive pay?
Also since I don't pay a lot of taxes, I transferred the credit to my father who has been a VERY supportive person in raising my daughter with disability. I mailed and faxed a letter, pretty detailed, with all info. How long could I wait to his taxes to be reassessed?

Thank you for any information you could provide to me. I have tried to call the CRA but it just simply will not go through.

Listing another time line:
- mailed the application for DTC to the Surrey office Nov 25, 2015
- received a letter Dec 10, 2015 stating my application is delayed

I'll post again a as I have new info.

I'm sort of concerned my application will be denied, otoh, I'm not that concerned about it. We either qualify or we don't, I'm trying not to obsess about this, lol, obviously I'm not that successful! I've told myself I won't bother with this at all until the end of February unless CRA contacts me before then. I'll post again when I have info to share.
