We have an upright, it takes less space and we have it in the laundry room. We used to have a small chest freezer but I prefer the upright and the food is easy to see.

We have a small chest freezer. It's wonderful to be able to but things on sale or when we leave town. Winter the bbq becomes our freezer too.

Not so frugal but getting necessary for a family and safety. We did get our car today. BF did wonderful as far as I'm concerned getting them down 1500 dollars on the price. It was just serviced...full tank of gas...new windshield.
We picked it up after work tonight.

    Thank you
I wanted an Edge until I sat in a Flex a year ago. After that I was in love lol. My sister and grandma both have Edges

The edge is great but not very much room, we have had mini vans for years and I miss the room. We had to buy the Thule for storage as one son plays rep lacrosse and they all ski, You have rep hockey players so the space makes so much more sense. I also live less than 2 miles from the plant that builds the Edge so it made sense to support my town.

Ford credit originally tried to get me into a new focus or escape and I told the finance team that really didn't work for us size wise. This Flex we think should work really really well.

    Thank you.

    It's a 2013.

It met my list of wants. Fell slightly short of bfs (he hoped for a backup camera, power adjusted pedals as well ) I wanted the size. Remote start. Bum warmer cruise control, awd or 4wd and Bluetooth for the phone. Oh and no dementia lol.

    Good Morning All,
Sorry for the poor me post and then disappearing. It has just been one of those weeks. Thank you for all of your wonderful comments and you all helped me make a decision. I did have a little bit of money set aside which I was trying to decide what to do with, it was supposed to be for my room but as more and more house things started coming up I started wondering if I needed to spend it else where. It is not enough to get everything I want but will get me my bed and 1 more dresser. I think in total I would like to go with 3 dressers since I cannot find a long one I like I will place 3 side by side to make the long dresser I want and I still do not get my new mattress but I think around Christmas time I should have money for these items. I won't see Mom tonight but will tell her over the weekend my plan.

Right now I think our issues are circulating around our mortgage we had renew and our payments have gone down. Well now Mom is kind of acting like we now have all this extra money, it went down but not that much and I think this is her way of trying to say it without saying it that she things the money we are saving on the mortgage should go back into the house which if we were splitting the expenses I would probably agree too. But since I cover all of the costs on our house I just need the savings to give me a little more wiggle room in the budget because eventually I know the tap in the bathroom will go (we already had it fixed once about 5 years just after we moved in and were told at that time if it went again they could not fix and they would have to rip the wall in the bathroom out to replace) and I need to build my savings and emergency fund back up.

I am still trying to be positive that something good will come our way and we just need to be patient. Mom is not on the same wave length but I think it is a case of not seeing what is right in front of her. I get it she is done with being patient but right now we really have no other option, she has been looking for work and cannot find anything else the job market in our area just is not good. So now we wait and see I still think something might happen and who knows maybe it is that hope the gets me through the day that at some point we will be out of this rocky boat but I do not know I just feel we have to be positive and see where it goes. This last time is closest she has come and I think that is a good sign or at least that is how I am going to see. Mom keeps telling me I am setting myself up for disappointment but oh well, in all honesty I am feeling the best I have felt in months, maybe even years emotionally.

Hope everyone has a great day off to get some work done and see where this day leads.

Nice!! I bought a new vehicle too and the main reason was for safety and room. I have a Rep hockey player too so we travel far and in the snow! I also went from a 4 dr car to a SUV so I'm loving the extra room! But I'm a Honda girl lol

TGIF! Smooth morning getting youngest off to camp! He was happy with his lunch and we packed extra cold drinks as freezer packs so they will be nice and cold still this afternoon. I think my honey said it's rib night! So we will serve the corn on the cob with it that I bought the other day and didn't use yet. And maybe ceaser salad Then I hope we can go for a bike ride to the park after. Not sure what the weather is suppose to be like this weekend, I haven't looked yet.
