I almost needed a nap from watching the Blue Jays game this afternoon. It is turning into a really nice evening out there. The dog is flaked out on the floor & I'm not sure what we're going to end up doing tonight. Probably play some cards. Have fun tonight dear people.

Hi all. Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do
Haven't been on line 4 awhile, & not sure when I'll be back on.

Summary:
* Jake, my puppy, had surgery
* a friend in hospital, & his brother flew over from England, & sister from North Bay: both WERE staying with me
* computer hacked; $36,000. stolen, but bank covered the theft.
* " data gone; support can't retrieve, so goes into shop Monday. They'll try to retrieve data & photos; then wipe hard drive & reinstall software. Once unplugged, no wifi, so don't know when I'll be back on line.

Very stressful couple of weeks.

We're on day #3 of getting our roof rebuilt - it was in pretty bad shape and we didn't want to wait until we started to suffer leakage; so we went with "Those Roofers" who have excellent references. Not cheap; but their materials; work ethic and workmanship are keeping our minds at rest. Just want it finished - soon please!

I'm heading out of town to McKellar, Parry Sound for a few days on Monday to visit with friends. Baxter and the kween will be staying back as they have cats (plus TK doesn't relate to north country)
It will be nice to have some quiet; country air see the star shine again.

Doing a lunchtime jazz cruise tomorrow and looking forward to that.

Oh crapola 22! That is certainly a rough time.

Do what you need to do to get yourself back on track. We will all be in your corner, and we will be here when you are able to regain some normalcy back into your life.

Hicks you are going to need a vacation after all the issues this week! I hope you can de-stress yourself from this stuff, and it will start with Jake getting back to normal! Are thoughts and prayers are with you for both Jake and your friend!
Glad the fraud was taken care of though! That alone is a frightening thing and the potential loss of all your data/pictures and whatever memories you have on your computer. Keep fighting and know we are all thinking of you!

I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies: Revenue Canada 'Service' Canada Post 'Service' Telephone'Service' Cable TV 'Service' Civil 'Service' Provincial, Municipal, City, & Public 'Service' Customer 'Service' This is not what I thought 'Service'meant. But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to 'Service'a few cows. BAM!!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us. I hope that you are now just as enlightened as I am.
