Good afternoon all. What a cold, windy, wet w/end this has been.
Oh well, doesn't matter, feels like I haven't budged from in front of the t.v. - so many Jays games.
Hoping to pull out my broom later for a 4 game sweep.
I certainly will be Walker. Why don't you come watch the game here. I'll provide the popcorn, and you could bring dinner. lol

Oh well we gave the Yankees one win, now that will be enough of that! Really Tanaka was so dang good for NY our guys just could not get a hit off of him. At least the game was short if not sweet.
Sorry hicks, one pan of Manicotti is gone already as well as nearly all of one lasagna. At least I got some have decent mumbling ( I think they were compliments? ) out of the guys. Now I wish I had opened a bottle of wine with dinner, it would have really hit the spot!

Well, our poor doggie had 3 poops INSIDE today, before 9:00 this morning! Oh dear - he had a bad tummy obviously! I was convinced that a change in our dogfood was the problem. Took it back to exchange it at PetSmart - which they nicely did, but then I read all the ingredients and they were exactly the same - just a different size of nuggets. - So, I'm not sure what brought this on but had to buy him a new bed. (Won't explain - also a hall runner and carpet for the back door.) I couldn't find a runner or carpet at Walmart which is pretty much our only choice but we're heading to London tomorrow.
They had a "clearance section" for beds at Petsmart stuck in a corner. The only difference between those beds and the ones that were full price, were the colours! Don't tell me people change their dog's bed to match the season!

I fed him some chamomile tea and rice biscuit and banana. (The closest to a BRAT diet I could get) and his tummy settled down.
But I sure didn't tell him "Later," when he asked to go out several times today. I had tried to get him out every time, but wasn't fast enough early this morning.

Enough "unseemly" topics!

We are getting our walls painted tomorrow - and I have to be up early. I'm pretty tired. So I may head to bed and finish reading my book. Almost at the end.

Yep, chilly here, too, 9C, but going up to 22, and sunny!! Those dreary days we had are hopefully behind us for a while. All the crabapple trees along our street have dropped their leaves leaving skeletons that can only be appropriate for halloween.

Avon, was that my Maxx who had tummy troubles this morning? Poor critter, I hope he's feeling better this morning!

I think I'll take it easy today; I was very productive this weekend, so today is a day of rest. Hubby stayed home from golf because of the 3 long days of the tournament this weekend so it's nice to have him here for our morning coffee: sign of the times come fall, I guess, no early golf mornings will be starting soon, then no golf mornings at all....

That's fantastic news!! You sure did make the right decision to move into that firm and it's obviously paying off! Isn't it great to have that kind of recognition for your work?!

hi gang! I agree the a.m. chill is an eye opener, especially when both the kitchen and living room windows were left open last night....my toes were screaming for slippers! Was up before 6:00 again blending herbs and spices into lean burger to surprise the guys with homemade hamburgers as another option to take in for work tonight. I figured since they did inhale a few servings of lasagna and some Manicott on Sunday, they'd appreciate a change. Lots of salad fixings there if they want to take one in.
No Jays game today.......hmmm maybe I'll get a nap in before anyone else even gets up!
