Got back from the dentist. He did 3 fillings. Not sure which hurts more...the teeth or the hit my CC took. Today was $463. This afternoon I get an eye injection. Will definitely be a sore head today.

Dropped lunch off to DS (Kids Subway meal) then went to RCSS to see what I could find. The teen was complaining that there wasn't junk to eat. So bought 2 boxes of white meat chicken strips since I received 1000 PC PTS for every $5 spend on boxed meat. Also grabbed reduced hot dog buns since I saw a pack of dogs in the freezer. Let the teen and friends eat all the crap and get it out of the freezer!

    @coupon girl

I read this blog post recently about good things to put in the shoe boxes. It has some perspective I would have never thought of!

    Weeks are flying.

I went in to school yesterday and taught a science lesson for a friend while she bounced my baby. Fun times.

We have a big Halloween event at the church Sat. afternoon. DH will breathe a little easier when it is done. The are prepping for over 1000 people. We are praying for no rain.

We have a high school with uniforms here. I think that parents organize a kind of uniform "garage sale."
And our local kijiji has posts about uniforms. Maybe that would help.

    Hello folks, just dropping in.
Hope your surgery went well, J&C!
Crocetlady and Thriftygranny, hope your health is improving.

I'm going tomorrow with my aunt and cousin to see my ill cousin. I made some Turkey Soup today to pass along to their families. Dh is making some chili for them tomorrow.

My cousin is in "stable but critical " condition. Her mum was called at 6:00 am to hurry down to her side. She was administered the last rights as her vitals kept dropping every time the staff tried to re-position her. They ed her over onto her stomach to try to relieve the congestion in her chest. It helped somewhat but they could only leave her that way for 24 hours.

I am going to talk to the family tomorrow about trying to set up an online fundraising for them. All of her siblings are missing work to be with her and she, as well as them, have no "sick-leave" and they all have kids to feed and bills to pay.

Got to get to bed, your prayers and thoughts are appreciated.

Avon: If you use GoFundMe know that 10% goes to them & not the family. I wish I knew that before I gave a friend a huge chuck through gofundme. I would have just given them the money had a I realized this. A close friend almost died in a car accident so we all wanted to help but to thing the fund took 50.00 was bothersome. I am not sure if there are other options that don't take such a chunk.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Surgery went well, my boys are home today PD day, they hung the heavy blankets on the clothesline for me this am. Logan made his own lunch and Jaden has chicken burgers.

I have ground beef thawing but time will tell what it ends up being.

No prescriptions just motrin and Tylenol so that's good but my armpit is extremely sore. I had a look at the incision and well it's the whole length on the armpit on an angle...yikes.

I ordered Season 3 & 4 of Grimm for bil for Christmas saved $40 ordering on ebay and not in USD either so win win. Season 3 cost $29.97 at wm +taxes and season 4 is $39.97 +txs and I think that's it for him.

Dh is working on his Christmas list and I am encouraging the kids to as well, especially Logan who never wants anything. So we'll see I would love to have most of my dvds ordered online by November 15th.

The dvds I did order today say arrival between Nov. 2 and 26 so it's insentive to order early and get them in time that later and risk not getting for Christmas. Last year I ordered from amazon some dvd tv series in early November and they arrived in early January which sucked but lesson learned as they say.

Wishing everyone a great day & weekend and Happy Halloween to all those celebrating
2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!
