I just weighed myself at the doctor's office. I have lost 3lbs over the last 3wks. I am 5lbs away from my pre twin pregnancy weight and the twins are 9 months old. I'm happy with that.

@walkonby, don't those carbs just make you feel dreadful?! I feel like a blob when I've carbed myself.
I didn't go to WW today because we had other errands to run, but I weighed myself at home, and with all the ups and downs, the stalls, the misbehaving, I'm still down 26 lbs from January 4th! I'm thrilled with that and although it could be better, I'm celebrating the fact that I STUCK with it and didn't give up!! That's the big thing....misbehaving, yes, fine, but just don't give up! It's worth it!!
Amof, I had ordered a jacket from the Cleo's sale (it may still be on), a transitional coat, waterproof, reg around 130.00, on for 34.00 (or thereabouts) and picked it up at Cleo's today (no shipping fee that way) and ooohhhh, I was scared it wouldn't fit, but it did!!! DH said it made me look so skinny!!! LOL...the salesclerk and I laughed...he's well trained... It was a lovely afternoon with him.
My walking, however, seems to be deteriorating a little and I tend to almost fall over to the right and lose my balance; geez I'm tired of all this!!!
That knee surgery can't come soon enough!!
I hope everyone had a good week.. @Angela273, good work, Hon! @walkonby...we're doing just fine, my Friend!!

good afternoon all! Well like Lynn I am not where I wanted to be on the total pounds lost, 33 lbs gone, could've been more but.... I am still being very conscious of what I eat and have made some pretty good strides in the calories burned dept, so it will all even out eventually.
Carbs, however are really awful on my body. I just have to accept that and avoid them again. Why are they so delicious and WHY do they speak to me?
o.k. carry on all you terrific health and weight conscious people!! We'll do this eventually!!

@walkonby !!!! Totally YUMMY pancakes!!!!!!! LOVED, loved, loved them!!!
I made your original recipe (without the bananas this time), but doubled it so that tomorrow I'll add in a half of a banana for a change of pace. I might even toss in some cocoa for chocolate/banana pancakes!! Another day: craisins or raisins...teensy diced apples...and it's all very filling!!
Now wrt the Smart Points count: are you counting about 4-5 points in your whole recipe? That's what I got....are we close?
Anyway...another fantastic recipe that feels like cheating that I can add to my repertoire. Thanks so much!!
I'm not going to weigh myself until I go to WW on Friday, but I'm sticking to it! Oh. Except for dinner out today with DD and Grandson while the boys are cleaning up our trailers.

Ugh. @walkonby , you and I seem to have the same problem with carbs. I absolutely bloat up and get all poofy!! Not pretty.
So like you....I rarely touch the stuff.
You're right! As long as we don't go back to gorging on carb-laden junk we'll continue to head in the right direction!!!

Ahh Lynn that's a good one, kinda reminds me of this one.
Well my DH and I did it. We signed up for Personal Training! So once a week we each will meet with our PT for a one on one workout and fill in the other 2-3 days on our own. My first session with her is Wed and I think that will be more intake charts and stuff, but she wants to throw me into the battle ropes. Sweet. I also decided to forgo WW after my Aunt informed me of a place called Wharton Clinic, basically they offer the same thing as WW (though more comprehensive) with one on one meetings with Doctors, Nurses and specialists, group meetings, etc but it's free. And they have a diabetic clinic I can take advantage of as well. My initial appointment with them isn't until June 15 but I'm excited that my life is going in the right direction. All at the same time. haha It's a nice feeling.
Good to see those that are continuing on the right path, and those that are curving a little don't worry. Just get back on the right path.

@Tara you made some great choices! Personal trainers? Love it! FREE clinic to get help in so many weight and health areas? Fantastic!!
Good luck with it all going forward!!
@Lynn49 yes to the pancakes! See? THAT is why I eat them almost every morning....ha ha I LOVE that I can enjoy 8 of these 2.5" babies and it doesn't suck up all my points for the day. Plus I am stuffed for hours afterwards.
Initially I had my whole recipe ( both pancakes and topping ) at around 8 SP , but then I stopped adding the 1 Tblsp of Pure Maple syrup to the Greek yogurt and used Stevia to sweeten it up instead. Worked way better!
This week is a write off ( kinda, sorta? for counting my SP ) since DH is home enjoying some R & R. However, I have eliminated the evil carbs again, so hope to be feel much better and less Poofy soon!

Thank you @beckie.c !
Heaven knows both Walkonby and I have days when we're as weak at kittens at the sight of a slice of bread or honeybun...or anything chocolate...for me, caramel...but the thing is, we can accept those days (hate 'em yes, but that's life, right?), pull up our frilly undies and get back to the job of getting healthier. Losing the weight is important of course, for our health, but we also feel so much better without being all poofy all over the place.
Good luck to you as you continue your journey; you're young....learning to be healthy and getting there...SO smart when you're young!!
Congrats on moving towards a healthier lifestyle!
