Oh, goodness, @Darth Penguin ! This is the first time I've seen this thread!

All the best with your cataract surgeries! My Mom had both her eyes done and loved the results!!
I'll be away until Monday, so I'll check in on your after-surgery progress then....good luck!!

I'm back ...my eye is itchy and I can't scratch it...It feels gritty and dry.ugg!

on the other hand , the surgery was straight forward, the surgeon talked me through the procedure so I felt safe. I did not get a scary pirate eyepatch, it was a boring clear plastic one.

Wow!!!!! That is amazing. Didn't realize it was that quick. Good to know. My mom is thinking about having this done. Thanks soooo much for sharing. I feel better now and will tell my mom how quick it can be. So nice that the surgeon talked you through everything. That is great. Thanks again

my appt was for 11...waited till 11.30.had pre-op...lots of drops and an iv port. More sitting around. Taken for op at 2 is..more pre-op drops. It look about 5 mins for the operation. once i was back on the recovery ward , i was given my paperwork and allowed to leave round 3pm. Got my presciptions ojn the way home and was drinking tea by 4.30
my vision is still a bit iffy ATM and I have a follow up appt tomorrow morning and a new DVD to watch

my appt was for 11...waited till 11.30.had pre-op...lots of drops and an iv port. More sitting around. Taken for op at 2 is..more pre-op drops. It look about 5 mins for the operation. once i was back on the recovery ward , i was given my paperwork and allowed to leave round 3pm. Thanks so much for posting this My Mom was just talking about having this done and i was going to go on line to see if I could find information on it for her. Super kind of you to take the time to post. After reading this I feel sooo much better. Was worried as I didn't know what to expect and her first appointment to discuss this is coming up soon.
